Kate Middleton was recently on a trip to Italy, but another royal family member enjoyed Italian culinary delights elsewhere. Queen Camilla made a final stop at Conway Square before wrapping up her Northern Ireland trip with King Charles. She was seen happily mingling with the locals and complimenting traders over their businesses. During one such interaction, she chanced upon Michael Cafolla, an ice cream vendor, who presented the Queen with a freshly prepared cone from his family's cart, a business founded over 100 years ago by his Italian immigrant grandpa.

Like a kid holding onto a candy, the Queen looked delighted while trying out the gelato. "Can I stay here, can I stay and eat?" she reacted after using a wafer to taste the vanilla-flavored frozen dessert and joked that it was her "lunch". According to the BBC, the Queen couldn't resist the temptation of taking a few more bites despite handing over the ice cream to her equerry. "The Queen told me she could stay here a bit longer. It's amazing she came over, and she really enjoyed it," Cafolla said later. He also revealed that every morning, they prepared a new batch of ice cream with modern machinery, a departure from his grandfather Giuseppe's traditional hand-whisking technique.

The impromptu Belfast trip has been full of surprises, as the seemingly laidback King and Queen surprised everyone with their hidden talents. Yesterday, the Queen casually poured a perfect pint of Guinness, a stout beer, at Parson's Nose pub. She was generously applauded for showcasing her brewmaster skills. She also gave a funny reaction while trying out some local whiskey at Titanic Distillers in Belfast.

Queen Camilla has been spotted having ice cream on several occasions. In July 2025, she went to Anya Hindmarch's ice cream shop in London with her grandkids and sampled several kinds. Similarly, she was captured savoring exquisite ice cream at the Giolitti cafe in Rome on April 9, 2025, while celebrating her 20th anniversary with King Charles. In addition, she was papped while enjoying a passion fruit ice cream at Wellington Barn in Wiltshire in July 2025.
