Meghan Markle Shared Some Candid Marriage Advice With a Bride-to-Be in Australia
An unseen fan footage was unearthed, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's sixth wedding anniversary fast approaches.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have gone through a lot over the years and have stood strong by each other's side. Soon, the couple will be celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary. With the joyous occasion fast approaching, a fan dug up a video of the Duchess sharing marriage advice during her Australia tour.
Markle and Harry had travelled down under earlier this month for a four-day rigorous tour. The couple met multiple locals, onlookers, and fans during their engagements in the country. As per People, Markle took part in a video for a fan, which appears to have been filmed during her visit to Bondi Beach, based on her outfit. Dressed in a striped navy blue and white front-tie shirt and cream trousers, she addressed the video to a girl named Ellie, standing next to a man who is presumably Ellie’s father.
“Ellie, I'm here with your dad. I just wanted to say congratulations on your wedding. Enjoy the wedding, but it's more about the marriage," Markle said, before adding, "Have a wonderful, beautiful marriage and a lifetime of love.” Pointing to Ellie’s dad, she further mentioned, “Sending you love all over the world. Your dad is awesome.” Markle also blew a kiss to her fans through the camera before the video ended.
Markle and Harry’s own love story is nothing short of a fairytale. During their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the former Suits star likened their story to The Little Mermaid. The royal couple met at Soho House in 2016 through a mutual friend, when Markle was in London for the Wimbledon tournament. It was love for the future couple from the very beginning, as the courtship quickly progressed into something much deeper. Harry had reportedly brought cupcakes with red, blue and white frosting to celebrate the Fourth of July, which happened to be their second date.
In her Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan, the Duchess, revealed that the couple had exchanged their ‘I love yous’, a huge milestone in a relationship, during their third date when they had gone on a camping trip to Botswana. Their journey has been quite rough, from leaving the royal family to creating a new life together in Montecito. They have been together for almost a decade and will be completing six years of married life on May 19th. The couple has two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple has also signed deals and appeared in tell-all interviews, which got them a lot of attention but also invited controversy.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had visited Bondi Beach on the final day of their 2026 Australia tour to meet the first responders and survivors of the December 2025 Bondi Beach terror attack, along with representatives of the Sydney Jewish Museum.
