Queen Camilla’s Reaction After Smelling Irish Whiskey Leaves the Crowd in Stitches [Video]
Queen Camilla’s hilarious whiskey reaction stole the spotlight during the royals’ latest Belfast visit.
Queen Camilla might be unintentionally the funniest royal in the family. Whenever she is out and about, the Queen is always smiling warmly and waving cheerfully. However, during her recent visit to Northern Ireland alongside King Charles, she gave a hilarious reaction that will surely leave everyone laughing.
The moment happened during the royal couple’s visit to Titanic Distillers in Belfast, where the couple stopped to try some local Irish whiskey. Camilla first leaned in for a smell and almost instantly pulled a hilarious, shocked face that made it clear she was giving a very honest reaction to the whiskey. But she still went ahead and took a sip anyway, only to look even more surprised by the taste before shaking her head and smiling. Watch the video here!
Charles and Camilla kicked off their first Northern Ireland visit of the year in Belfast, where they headed to the city’s Titanic Quarter. They joined the celebration marking Belfast’s turn as host of this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. The royal couple was welcomed by traditional Irish dancers and live musicians as crowds gathered around the event. At one point, Charles even shared a playful dancing moment with Belfast performer Tendai Nyamayaro! However, it was a familiar return for Camilla, as this marked her 24th visit to Belfast overall. Before becoming Queen, she had already visited the city 19 times during her years as Duchess of Cornwall.
On the second day of their Northern Ireland visit, she headed off solo for separate engagements across County Down. Camilla spent part of the day exploring Royal Hillsborough, the first village in Northern Ireland to officially receive Royal status in 2021, strolling through the Georgian streets and chatting with local business owners along the way. The Queen visited The Parson’s Nose pub, historic grocer E.R. Wilson, and Arthur’s Café. But it was her stop at the pub that quickly became the highlight of the day. She even got behind the bar to pour herself a pint of Guinness and try the famous pour. Needless to say, she mastered it instantly.
Meanwhile, Charles visited the seaside town of Newcastle, meeting crowds and having fun and playful interactions with fans. The King met volunteers at the local Pantry Foodbank and even helped pack food parcels for less mobile residents in the community. He later stopped by Newcastle Community Cinema, where he joined locals and actor Ian McElhinney to celebrate the town’s thriving arts scene.
