A few years ago, a woman named Virginia Giuffre claimed that she was trafficked as a teenager and forced into sexual encounters with former Prince Andrew in the early 2000s. While Andrew has consistently denied any such accusations, the case escalated into a high-profile civil lawsuit that has cast a long shadow over his public reputation. In recent news, it has been reported that the Giuffre family has now made a heartfelt appeal to King Charles III and Queen Camilla ahead of their much-awaited US state visit this month, requesting them to meet the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse.

Previously, Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, and her sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, publicly expressed gratitude to King Charles III for supporting abuse survivors, particularly following Prince Andrew’s arrest in February. As reported by the BBC, Sky said, "We strongly urge King Charles to meet with survivors and us and hear what we have to say. Amanda and I are hopeful that conversations with survivors and their families will continue to elicit decisive action from the British government against the co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein."

As reported by HELLO Magazine, the statement further read, "King Charles III’s visit will come at a deeply personal time for our family. His arrival comes just two days after the first anniversary of the death of our beloved sister, Virginia Roberts Giuffre." Giuffre died by suicide last year. Similarly, on Monday, US Congressman Ro Khanna also sent a letter to Charles, urging him to meet the survivors. However, despite the request, several media reports have suggested that the monarch is unlikely to agree to such a meeting due to fears it could interfere with the ongoing legal proceedings and police investigation against the former Prince.

Meanwhile, the King and Queen's upcoming US state visit has been confirmed despite growing pressure to delay or cancel it due to the long-running conflict in the Middle East. An official statement released by the Buckingham Palace read, "On advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States, The King and Queen will undertake a State Visit to the United States of America." The statement further added, "Their Majesties’ programme will celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence."

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has also expressed his excitement to welcome the royal couple. On his Truth Social page, he wrote, "Melania and I are pleased to announce that Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a Historic State Visit from April 27-30th, which will include a beautiful Banquet Dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28th." Furthermore, he concluded by stating, "I look forward to spending time with the King, whom I greatly respect. It will be TERRIFIC!"
