After being forced to leave Royal Lodge, Sarah Ferguson is reportedly on acrimonious terms with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and is searching for new properties to distance herself from the drama. According to royal expert Andrew Lownie, there is a strong possibility that she may relocate to Switzerland in pursuit of tranquility. He claimed she thinks her ex-husband has lost 'all his attraction,' now reduced to a commoner, stripped of all honors.

Lownie revealed that the former Duchess is allegedly keen on branching out on her own, away from her ex-husband's shadow. He said on the Daily Express news show, "Fergie's abandoned him [Andrew], he's lost his attraction, now he's no longer in Royal Lodge and a Prince. And she's gonna do her own thing. She's kind of gonna, it's a bit like Meghan and Harry, lots and lots of parallels there." Commenting on reports that Ferguson was allegedly eyeing new properties to escape Mountbatten-Windsor, he added, "She [Ferguson] may go to Switzerland, I think she may, you know, could go quietly somewhere in London, keep low for a while, but I think she'll be back."

Lownie also reiterated previous allegations regarding Ferguson's controversial association with Jeffrey Epstein, alleging she had stayed in his properties in 2013 and 2014, years after declaring that she cut him off. Furthermore, the author argued that the royal family had long protected Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson from any accountability. He claimed that Palace officials and even the late Queen Elizabeth resisted attempts by diplomats and security officials to raise concerns about their conduct. "They [royal family] get respect when they serve us well. When they behave in ways seen as self-serving, they’re in trouble."

Earlier, speculation arose that Ferguson was planning to move to Beverly Hills or Palm Beach in the US to escape the relentless media scrutiny. Royal columnist Rob Shuter detailed insider accounts about Fergie's alleged plans on his Substack. He wrote, "America feels like freedom to her [Ferguson.] In London, the whispers never stop. In the US, she thinks she can blend in with every other famous face who reinvented themselves." According to them, the former Duchess had been discreetly contacting her friends in New York, Los Angeles, and Florida, asking for their opinions, and surveying neighborhoods where she could be 'anonymous-ish.'

The Daily Mail has also reported that Ferguson was allegedly looking to move into the 'Hamptons of Europe,' i.e., Portugal, where Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank own a $4.7 million home. A source revealed that the former Duchess "is preparing to flee the UK and swap Windsor for her daughter's mansion...on Portugal's Atlantic coast this winter."
