Sarah Ferguson 'No Longer Believes' in Andrew and Will 'Hide Out' Abroad, Claims Expert
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly eyeing a move to Portugal as her days at Royal Lodge in Windsor are coming to an end. With her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, set to move to King Charles' Sandringham estate soon, she was forced to find accommodation of her own. And sources say it will be in Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's $4.7 million mansion in Portugal. The grand property is a 'luxury resort community,' known as CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club. A 'grand suite' in the villa is allegedly being prepared for Fergie's arrival in January.
The former Duchess of York has been a staunch supporter of him through all the highs and lows over the years. They have been living together happily under one roof even though they divorced in 1996. But now, with his royal titles stripped, it seems like Fergie has had enough, their shared brand no longer of any value, and she's looking to get away from it all.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond recently told The Mirror, “I am surprised that it seems Sarah and Andrew are now going their separate ways. I thought they were joined at the hip, even though no longer in a romantic relationship… Sarah has always been so fiercely loyal to Andrew, defending him even in the face of the most sordid allegations. Perhaps she no longer believes him, or perhaps Andrew now wants to be on his own.”
A resident of the gated community in Portugal, meanwhile, told The Express, “The word here is that Fergie will be arriving sometime in January. How long she'll stay is anyone's guess, but if it's a long-term move, I can guarantee she'll fit well into the social scene.” Ferguson, if the move to Melides proves to be true, will be neighbors to celebrities like Madonna, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and many others.
Previously, it was rumored that Fergie had asked for accommodations from the Palace, specifically, she had asked for Adelaide Cottage, which, up until recently, was home to the Waleses. But later it was revealed that no such demands from her were made, and in fact, she rather wanted to move away and 'make her own.' This is probably why, as per the recent reports, she is choosing to move to Portugal for now, which comes with the added benefit of built-in support in the form of her daughter.
