During the visit, Middleton ascended the stairs to study the cockpit, assuring the guide that her heels wouldn't hinder her from doing so. While chatting with a Quick Alert personnel, they asked, "Somebody told us that your children were very excited about you seeing a plane." The Princess laughed and replied, "They’ll be very upset that I’ve seen a Typhoon without them." Shortly after, instructor Geraint White invited her to step inside the flight simulator. Reflecting on their conversation, Group Captain Paul O’Grady later said, "She seems to be a natural pilot, so we might have to get her qualified and get her flying a Typhoon, if she’s up for it."

As Middleton’s clip in high heels made the rounds on the internet, royal fans couldn’t help but shower her with praise. A netizen gushed, "Τhe way she makes it looks so easy and effortless...what a QUEEN." In a similar vein, another remarked, "I can barely walk up the stairs in flats, never mind like this. She is a QUEEN for sure!" A royal watcher also opined, "Damn, looking like a whole supermodel while doing it too. The Princess of Wales is a masterclass." As the comments poured in, a fan quipped, "I would have rolled backwards on those stairs, wow, she is amazing, and she still manages to look so elegant doing it."
Middleton’s visit to the RAF station also saw her open up about Prince Louis’s dream job. While chatting with the 700 families who had come to meet her, she told ten-year-old Robin Sasum, "My children were very sad. The boys, particularly." Sasum’s stepmum, Jo Sweeney, a business support officer at RAF Coningsby, spoke about her conversation with Middleton, telling HELLO!, "She was saying that Louis fancies becoming a pilot." The Princess reportedly had added, "I'm going to tell them [her children] it takes eight years and a lot of hard work," referring to the toil that goes into becoming an aircraft pilot.

As for her talent of walking in high heels, another incident in 2023 saw the Princess of Wales gracefully walk in stilettos while at the Guards Polo Club. Photos showed her confidently strutting in beige heels across the grassy lawn, sipping on Champagne, and cheering Prince William from the sidelines, all without tripping. In November 2022, she effortlessly also navigated a muddy terrain while the heel of her shoe was temporarily stuck.
