Real Reason Why You May Not See Prince William and Kate Middleton In Public For a While
Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently preparing to shift their focus to family life.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have had an extremely busy public schedule for the last few weeks. This week itself, the couple attended a historic ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral on March 25, which marked the installation of the first female Archbishop of Canterbury. Then, on Thursday, March 26, Prince William visited the Mercian Regiment in Wiltshire to interact with the soldiers. It is now being reported that the royal couple is set to scale down their busy schedule, with no major public engagements planned for the next few weeks.
As reported by HELLO Magazine, Prince William and Kate Middleton are preparing to shift their focus fully to family life, dedicating the coming days to spending quality time with their three children—Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales, and Prince Louis of Wales. The decision comes as the kids are set to get a break from school from this Friday. While some royal fans may feel disappointed, many are already aware of this as the family often steps away from the spotlight during the Easter period every year. Last year, they visited their Norfolk abode, Anmer Hall.
William and Kate's last Easter appearance alongside other senior members of the royal family came back in 2023. It has also been revealed that the royal family doesn’t usually stage an official Easter egg hunt, but William and Kate have shared that their children still enjoy the tradition privately, as reported by Town & Country Magazine. Similarly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also offered a glimpse into their Easter celebrations in the Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary, in which one lighthearted scene shows them arranging a festive egg hunt for their son, Prince Archie.
As for the wider royal family, Easter Day usually brings them to Windsor, where they attend a Sunday morning service together at St George's Chapel. The occasion draws massive media attention, with photographs of the royals often making headlines. Following the church service, they usually return to the castle to enjoy a traditional Easter lunch, with roast lamb being a staple on the menu. Previously, King Charles would typically spend the day at Birkhall with Queen Camilla to mark the special occasion. But since ascending to the throne, the couple have been spotted in Windsor regularly.
On Wednesday, March 25, the Prince and Princess of Wales were seen smiling and clapping alongside the massive crowd that gathered for the historic installation ceremony of Dame Sarah Mullally. Although they did not have any major formal duties to carry out during the ceremony, they were seen listening carefully to the new Archbishop’s first sermon, in which she reflected on her hopes for peace in the Middle East and addressed the past shortcomings in church safeguarding.
