The past year was a difficult one for Kate Middleton, who revealed her cancer diagnosis in March before stepping back from royal duties to undergo preventative treatment. Throughout her tumultuous journey, the Princess of Wales showed remarkable resilience, even managing to organize her beloved 2024 Christmas concert. With this year's event running without a hitch, royal expert Emily Andrews believes Middleton's Christmas concerts give a glimpse into how she hopes to operate when she becomes Queen.

In an article for Woman&Home, Andrews revealed that the Princess was heavily involved in organizing, curating, and inviting all the participants. She wrote, "A couple of years ago, she [Middleton] delighted us all with her amazing piano playing. It's the fifth time she's hosted it at Westminster Abbey, and it's become a real royal staple." She added, "I also think it's an important sign of how she wants to operate when she is Queen. Celebrating community, cohesion, and connection - and all those who contribute to that." The expert gushed that Middleton's approach to having over 15 Together at Christmas carol concerts across the UK is a brilliant way to ensure maximum participation.

As anticipated, Middleton will be joined by Prince William and their three children at Westminster Abbey for the event, which commences on December 5. Explaining how her 'slow and steady' return to work has paid off, Andrews opined, "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. Her [Middleton's] new normal included prioritizing family life and getting outdoors, above everything." The expert was hinting at Middleton's absence from Royal Ascot in June, which raised concerns over her health. She continued, "When every picture is scrutinized, every movement poured over, and clothes-choice analyzed on a highly critical worldwide basis from social media, wouldn't you be cautious?"

For her part, Middleton has spoken about adjusting to the new normal and how her painful journey with cancer changed her. During an engagement at Colchester Hospital in Essex, she got candid about her struggles with recovery. Reflecting on her life in remission, the 43-year-old said, "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult." She added, "You have to find your new normal, and that takes time...and it's a roller coaster, it's not smooth, like you expect it to be. But the reality is you go through hard times."

Commenting on Middleton's battle with cancer, royal expert Hilary Fordwich echoed Andrew's sentiments, telling Fox News Digital, "Her [Middleton's] emphasis on a ruthless discipline in her regimented daily routine and commitment to self-improvement has helped her." The expert believed that the Princess has an incredible ability to divide her time meticulously between parenting, supporting the heir to the throne, and her royal duties while managing to fit in an intense workout regime.
