Princess Beatrice and Eugenie Find Unlikely Allies in A-Listers Amid Growing Royal Exile
A source claims the York sisters' A-list friends "have been a steady source of support" as they deal with the renewed attention.
After their names surfaced in the Epstein files, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie reportedly lost respect within the royal family, with Prince William allegedly banning them from attending events. Now, reeling with the fallout of their parents' actions, a source claims they, particularly Princess Beatrice, are relying on a network of celebrity friends to help her accept the fate. Those include singer Ellie Goulding, model Karlie Kloss, stylist Olivia Buckingham, and nutritionist Gabriela Peacock, who has a history of working with the royals.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the insider revealed that Beatrice has maintained close ties with Goulding, entrepreneur Alice Naylor-Leyland, Buckingham, Kloss, and Peacock, wherein they have continued to be "rocks". They spilled, "She's [Beatrice] been relying more than ever on a tight-knit group of friends who understand the pressures that come with her position and the spotlight on her family." They added, "These are people she trusts completely – they've stepped up in a meaningful way and have been a steady source of support as she deals with the renewed attention and the personal strain that comes with it."
Meanwhile, Gabriela has previously spoken about supporting Beatrice and Eugenie through their milestones, telling HELLO!, "I'm so happy that I can support my friends through all kinds of major life events, like having a baby or getting married." Goulding had invited Beatrice to her 2019 wedding, while Kloss and her run in the same social circles. The older York sister is also said to be close to Sean Brosnan, the son of legendary actor Pierce Brosnan, who played cupid in introducing her to her ex-boyfriend, Dave Clark. Eugenie has maintained a good friendship with Prince Harry's ex, Cressida Bonas, as well as Cara Delevingne, Pixie Geldof, and Goulding, who performed at her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
Weighing in on how the sisters are dealing with the renewed scrutiny, the source stressed, "There's a sense that Beatrice is drawing strength from people who know her beyond the headlines. Having that kind of grounding influence around her has been incredibly important in helping her stay focused and maintain a sense of normality despite everything happening around her." Beatrice's role in helping her mother, Sarah Ferguson, backtrack on her damaging comments about Jeffrey Epstein was allegedly the final nail in the coffin of her relationship with the royal family.
As for their scathing fallout, in an episode on the Daily T podcast, royal expert Camilla Tominey mentioned an insider's account, who warned, "The York sisters' stuff is going to get a lot worse. They've escaped a lot of the scrutiny, but there's a lot of information on them and their associations with Epstein, along with their parents." To which, royal correspondent Hannah Furness replied, "There does seem to be this rumbling idea that there is more to discover." She added that while some sources have alleged the Princesses are "up to their necks," there is currently no evidence suggesting they were involved in far more controversial actions.
