Prince Harry’s Candid Response To Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy Dance Video Revealed: ‘Nothing But...'

While Meghan Markle's pregnant dance video caught many off guard, the scene had already been detailed by Prince Harry earlier.

Meghan Markle surprised royal watchers and critics alike on June 4 by posting a video of herself dancing while pregnant with Princess Lilibet. The video, taken in a hospital delivery room, was posted on the occasion of Lilibet's fourth birthday. Laughing and twerking, she danced alongside Prince Harry to induce labor. While the clip caught many off guard, the scene was previously detailed by Harry in his memoir, Spare.

Markle posted the said video on Instagram with the playful caption, “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work, there was only one thing left to do! 😂.” The couple was seen dancing to The Baby Momma Dance by Starrkista. As reported by People magazine, earlier, Harry too had recounted, “Nothing but joy and love in that room. We ate and ate and then did The Baby Mama Dance around the hospital room.” He spilled that they hogged on In-N-Out and fajitas before Lilibet’s birth

Harry also shared how he wanted to be the first person their daughter saw when she came into this world. He penned, “The doctor called out, 'The head is crowning.' Crowning, I thought. Incredible. The skin was blue. I worried the baby wasn’t getting enough air. Is she choking? I looked at Meg. One more push, my love! We're so close.” Recalling how he put his hands under Markle’s womb, Harry continued, “Gently, but firmly, as I’d seen in films, I pulled our precious daughter from that world into this.” Harry also revealed that Lilibet's birthing experience was less stressful compared to Prince Archie’s in 2019, as there weren't any stringent royal protocols.

Markle’s twerking video generated a lot of buzz and left the internet divided. While some praised the Duchess for her free spirit, others slammed her for sharing such a private moment. Royal expert Richard Eden told the Daily Mail, “It's not what you expect to see from members of the royal family…I think you do have to maintain some dignity and decorum.” The expert also opined that Markle was trying to shut down rumors that she used a ‘moonbump’ to fake her pregnancies. He stressed, “She published that mood board on Instagram where she had a picture of her…with her huge baby bump. And soon after, we have seen this video as well, so I think that is possibly addressing those conspiracy theories.”

As for Lilibet’s birthday, the Duchess also posted other adorable photos and videos. As per Harper's Bazaar, one collage showed Harry lovingly holding his newborn daughter and looking her in the eye. The second photo showed Lilibet holding her father's hand while running down a garden. She wrote, “The sweetest bond to watch unfold. Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday, Lili!” One of the pictures also featured Markle cuddling Lilibet by a boat.
