New Prince Andrew Biography Edited Over Jeffrey Epstein’s Alleged Link to Melania Trump

Trigger warning: This article contains themes of sexual abuse that some readers may find distressing
A new tell-all about Prince Andrew has already sparked controversy, so much so that one explosive claim has been quietly removed from circulation. Royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York initially alleged that Jeffrey Epstein was responsible for introducing Donald Trump to his future wife, Melania. The passage appeared in around 60,000 copies already in print, but following pushback from Melania Trump’s legal team, the claim has since been cut from all future editions. Both the ebook and audiobook versions have also been updated.

The decision comes after Melania threatened legal action against Hunter Biden earlier this summer for repeating the same allegation. Lawyers representing the former First Lady accused him of making “false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements,” warning that he must retract the comments and apologize—or face a $1 billion lawsuit, as per Express.
In response to the parallels between Biden’s remarks and the claim in Entitled, HarperCollins UK confirmed the edits. “We can confirm that several passages from Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by Andrew Lownie have been removed in consultation with the author,” a spokesman for the publisher said. The controversy adds fresh heat to an already incendiary book. Prince Andrew’s reputation collapsed in 2019 when his ties to Epstein were laid bare, culminating in his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview that left the public calling for him to be stripped of royal duties. Lownie’s new work reopens those wounds, detailing alleged conversations and encounters between the Duke of York, Epstein, and Donald Trump, as reported by The Daily Mail.

In one excerpt, Lownie recounts Andrew and Trump attending Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in 2000. Trump was quoted as saying of the Duke, “Andrew’s not pretentious. He’s a lot of fun to be with.” According to Lownie, the pair were later overheard at another event discussing Trump’s golf ambitions in Scotland, but the conversation quickly turned vulgar. “Shortly afterwards, and clearly good friends, Trump and Andrew were overheard at an event to discuss Trump’s plans for a golfing complex in Scotland, talking entirely about ‘p---y,’ with the American producing a list of masseuses for the Prince,” he wrote.
Lownie also alleged that Epstein once remarked Andrew was “more obsessed with p---y than [him].” The book further claims that Epstein’s driver, Ivan Novikov, facilitated Andrew’s movements in New York. Novikov is quoted as saying, “One time I drove him and two young girls, aged around 18, to a hotel. Both girls were doing lines of cocaine. Prince Andrew was making out with one of them.”

The Duke had enjoyed a brief spell of calm last month when U.S. authorities announced they had found no evidence of a so-called Epstein “client list.” A memo released by the FBI and Department of Justice stated, “This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’ There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions.”
