Meghan Markle’s life and career completely changed after a certain blind date with Prince Harry. Markle had shot to fame with her role as Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama, Suits. While being on the show, Markle had no idea how her life would take a major turn during her visit to the UK in 2016. However, royal fans believe she 'predicted' her future in England with one scene from the show.

Markle starred in the American drama from 2011 to 2018, in which her character, Rachel, is a passionate and ambitious legal assistant who works at the Pearson Hardman firm. While she dreams of becoming a lawyer one day, she falls for the new joinee, Mike Ross, only to later discover he does not hold a legal degree. Despite the many challenges, the two get married and leave the firm. But before tying the knot with Ross, Rachel, in one scene, talks about what it would be like to date a British man, not herself, but Sarah Rafferty’s character, Donna Paulsen.

According to Tyla, Markle laid a course for her future in the fourth episode of the show’s third season. The scene involved Rachel and Donna talking about a British man named Stephen Huntley (played by Max Beesley) who had expressed his desire to date the latter. The two debate whether Donna, who works as Harvey Specter’s executive assistant, should consider going out with a colleague from the firm’s London office. The scene begins with Donna asking Rachel, “Why should I go out with him? Just because he’s charming and hot?” To this, Rachel replies, “And witty and British.” When Donna quips the man also has a ‘title,’ an intrigued Rachel asks, “He does?” Donna responds, “No, but even if he did, that wouldn’t be a reason. I told you, Rach, I don’t mix business with pleasure.” Rachel reminds Donna that Huntley was visiting only for six weeks. In the end, when Rachel asks Donna if she would ‘consider it,’ she replies with a ‘Nope.’

While Donna did not consider dating a man from across the pond, Markle did. Huntley did not have a title in the UK, but Harry did. Markle was set up on a blind date with Harry during her visit to London in 2016 by a mutual friend. The two hit it off, and they went on a second date on July 4, 2016, as per Markle’s latest Instagram post. Sharing a cozy picture from the night, Markle wrote, “Our second date was the 4th of July 2016, and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition.” A few months later, the couple also took a trip to Botswana to camp under the stars. In a year, they were engaged, and in 2018, they tied the knot in a royal wedding. The couple now lives in California with their two kids after stepping down as working royals.
