Meghan Markle Seemingly Sends the Royals a Message After King Charles’ Letter
Meghan Markle's latest post seemingly went to show that she is unaffected by the King's official letter about their royal status.
According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were surprised by King Charles' guidance letter clarifying their roles in the royal family. The letter made it quite clear that Harry and Markle left their royal status behind when they moved to the US in 2020 and, therefore, are no longer working royals. It stressed that even though they made a move back with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, they will remain private citizens.
This means that, while they still have their HRH titles, they will not be able to publicly style themselves that way. In the aftermath of the same, Markle posted a carefree image of herself in her backyard petting her dog, Pula, after harvesting some greens. On Instagram, she captioned the same: “Long weekend plans with As Ever 🧺.”
In the photo, the Duchess of Sussex seemingly went for a rather comfortable yet chic look. Her outfit consisted of a green-and-white-hued, full-sleeved silk shirt. This was paired with a stylish high-waisted linen pencil skirt from Posse, which looked amazing with the shirt.

Although it’s hard to figure out exactly when the photo was taken because, according to the latest reports, Markle has only stepped out once so far, and that was to visit the coveted SOHO farmhouse. Beyond that, she and her family have been living in a private residence, just outside of London. The uncanny timing of the post has many believing it sent out a message to the royals: that Markle remains unbothered by the King's letter that stressed Harry and Markle remain separate from the Firm.
