King Charles May Extend Easter Invite to Prince Harry — but Will He Accept?

Prince Harry’s Easter plans are already raising eyebrows, with buzz he might skip the royal invite and do his own thing instead

Easter is just around the corner, and the Royal family is all set to celebrate this year grandly. However, Andrew and his daughters, Beatrice and Eugine, will remain missing due to his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. There is another member who has been angling for an invite from King Charles, and it is none other than Prince Harry. After he and Meghan Markle stepped away from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, they have not attended any royal functions with the family.

A former royal insider is now sharing his take on whether King Charles might include Prince Harry and his family in this year’s Easter plans. Grant Harrold, who worked for Charles for seven years, was not just a butler. During his time at Highgrove, he also spent plenty of time around Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, whenever they visited. Since leaving the royal household, Harrold is now an etiquette expert, author, and go-to royal commentator.

Harrold told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that he believes King Charles will invite Harry this time. He said, “I think if Prince Harry is in the U.K., or planning to be, then King Charles would almost certainly know through their communications, and I would expect an invitation to be extended. I don’t see a situation where the king would not invite him for Easter, especially if all the family are together.”

The former royal butler said that relations seem to be improving, and he believes King Charles would likely want to make sure Prince Harry feels included. “The more likely scenario is that Harry will plan to spend Easter in the States and party there. He will want to be at home, enjoying the life he has built for himself,” he added.

Harrold further added, “I think it’s highly likely the king would have invited him, but whether Harry attends remains to be seen. If Harry doesn’t join the family for the celebrations, I imagine he will exchange messages or a phone call with his father to share his best wishes.”

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have expressed hope that King Charles will extend an invitation to them. But not everyone is buying the sentiment. Some critics claim he is using Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet as leverage. While others think it is more of a PR move, one that could make the King look bad if no invite comes.

However, a friend of the King told The Daily Mail that if Harry really wants to see his father, it might help to keep these conversations private. The source added, “If Harry truly wishes to see his father, he would do well to encourage his supporters to allow such matters to be discussed privately, since low trust and bitter experience in this regard remains one of the principal barriers to progress.”
