King Charles Left 'Embarrassed' Yet Again by Prince Andrew Ahead of Trump’s State Visit: Report

Trigger Warning: This article contains themes of sexual assault and suicide that some readers may find distressing.
King Charles has reportedly had enough of his embattled brother, Prince Andrew, who is allegedly giving him a fresh headache ahead of Donald Trump’s state visit. On September 4, Republican politician Nancy Mace called for Andrew’s criminal prosecution in the US, following protests from Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. A new report claims the controversy has left the King 'embarrassed', particularly as he prepares to host Donald and Melania Trump at Windsor Castle this week. Unsurprisingly, Andrew is not on the guest list for the lavish state banquet for the President.

Page Six reported that Charles is eager to maintain the UK’s special relationship with the US, without worrying too much about Andrew. Epstein’s victims, meanwhile, have been speaking out against the FBI’s decision not to disclose any further information from their files on the disgraced financier’s crimes. Multiple sources also revealed that the Duke of York will never again attempt to enter the US over his fear of arrest or prosecution. It marks a major difference from Trump’s previous state visit to the UK back in June 2019, during which he held business meetings with Andrew.

Mace, meanwhile, called for the disgraced Prince to be put in ‘handcuffs’ just days after she stormed out of a House Oversight Committee closed-door meeting with Epstein victims. She wrote from her government account on X (formerly Twitter), "So when do we prosecute Prince Andrew for potential crimes on US soil? Seems like the right next step (after we release the files)." In a separate post on her personal account, she described a 'cold dark cell' and Andrew in handcuffs, saying it 'sends the right message.' She also explained the reason for her panic attack after meeting Epstein’s victims, saying, "As a recent (sexual assault) survivor (not even two years in), I had a very difficult time listening to their stories."

Last month, Andrew had breathed a sigh of relief when ABC News reported that the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) released a memo outlining the findings and cited that no further investigations on Epstein's alleged 'client list' would be launched. The memo mentioned in a highlighted line, "This systematic review revealed no incriminating 'client list.' There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions." The said ‘client list’ refers to the disgraced financier's alleged document, rumored to contain blackmail material on his clients.
Andrew's controversial ties to Epstein first came to light when Virginia Giuffre alleged that Epstein had trafficked her in the early 2000s to have an inappropriate relationship with the Prince when she was 17. After the bombshell allegation, Andrew was stripped of his royal patronages by the late Queen Elizabeth and settled with Giuffre out of court for an undisclosed sum in February 2022. Sadly, in April 2025, Giuffre's family announced that she had lost her life to suicide, and is now pushing to relaunch a new investigation against the Duke.
