King Charles Gets Heckled Over Andrew-Epstein Saga: 'Should the Police Be Investigating?'
Time and again, the royal family has scrambled to do damage control as new revelations about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's association with Jeffrey Epstein surface. The release of the latest batch of Epstein files has the public questioning the monarchy's prolonged silence. That pressure came to a head during King Charles' recent visit to Dedham on February 5, when a heckler put him on the spot over a police probe into his disgraced brother.
Charles and Queen Camilla's visit was an official engagement to recognize local community members and their achievements. That goodwill, however, was quickly overshadowed by a cutting question as the monarchs greeted well-wishers gathered to see them. Footage shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed a protester cutting through the pleasantries and calling out, "Charles? Charles? Should the police be investigating Andrew?" Unsurprisingly, the King remained silent, embodying the royal family's famed 'never complain, never explain' mantra. Supporters nearby appeared disgruntled by the disruption, with some urging him to shut it down. The heckler, however, was not let off scot-free, as police soon escorted him away from the area.

The burning question is one many Britons quietly carry, but are often too hesitant to ask out loud. The release of the new Epstein files on January 30 pulled back the curtain on his controversial friendship with Epstein, including one in which he appears to invite the disgraced financier to Buckingham Palace. Adding fuel to the fire is a disturbing photo showing the former Prince crouching on all fours above an unconscious woman, reigniting fierce criticism of his alleged double life.
As for Charles, this isn't the first time he has been put on the hot seat and forced to account for his brother's past actions. On October 27, when greeting well-wishers outside Litchfield Cathedral, footage shared on X by the Republic caught a heckler shouting, "How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew? Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew, Charles?" They further pressed, "What do you think — should MPs be allowed to debate the royals in the House of Commons?" The King, who clearly heard the fiery question, ignored the confrontation and continued greeting the crowd, much like his recent outing.
Much like the King, Camilla also chose silence when confronted about her disgraceful brother-in-law. During an engagement on Feb 4 at Christ Church Primary School, she was approached by a reporter. In a video posted on X, they can be heard calling out, "Good morning, Your Majesty, good morning. Will the royal family help the Epstein investigation? Do you have a message for Epstein's victims, Your Majesty?" Though flustered, she did not respond, walking past the questions and heading straight into the school, where she greeted the staff waiting at the entrance.
