King Charles Arrives in Antigua and Barbuda for Final Leg of Caribbean Tour
King Charles and Queen Camilla touch down in Antigua and Barbuda!
King Charles has reached the final leg of his 2026 Autumn Tour of the Caribbean, arriving in Antigua and Barbuda for its longest stop, a five-day visit. Along with several other engagements, the King will take part in celebrating the country's 45th Independence anniversary as well as the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) summit.
He reached Antigua and Barbuda on the evening of October 30 for a span of 5 days and will depart on November 4. Queen Camilla, who was supposed to join the King on the 9-day-long trip to the Caribbean islands, had been absent until now but has finally reunited with her husband for this last stop.
On Friday evening, the Queen reportedly arrived from the United Kingdom to join King Charles III at V.C. Bird International Airport. While Her Majesty hasn't made a public appearance so far, the King stepped out for a formal welcome ceremony on the tarmac, where he was greeted by Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams, alongside Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Housing Minister Maria Browne.

The ceremony featured performances by the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Band, including the national anthems of the two nations: the United Kingdom’s “God Save the King” and Antigua and Barbuda’s “Fair Antigua and Barbuda.”
Day 2 of the trip is supposed to be a rest day, where the King and Queen will take some time to acclimatize themselves to the weather as well as attend preliminary briefings ahead of the CHOGM summit.

On November 1 (Day 3), the royal couple will participate in the nation's 45th Independence Anniversary celebrations, attending a commemorative church service followed by a military parade. Over the next few days, the King and Queen will carry out a series of joint and solo engagements leading up to the CHOGM summit on November 3. The two will finally depart for the UK the following day after an official farewell ceremony.
