Kate Middleton’s Parenting Style Has Fellow School Moms Calling Her ‘Amazing’: 'She Never Misses...'

Kate Middleton may juggle the demands of royal life, but when it comes to her children, she rarely misses a moment. A fellow school mum has now revealed just how hands-on the Princess of Wales really is when it comes to supporting Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Speaking to HELLO at the world premiere of The Real Housewives of London, cast member Panthea Parker offered a rare glimpse into Kate’s parenting style.

"I see her quite a few times because my son’s school plays against her son’s school," Parker shared. "So they play rugby and football against each other, so we’re always at her school or my school. I do see her a lot, but not to talk to, just from afar. So classy, so lovely, and she never misses any of her children’s matches, so really amazing. And nor do I, otherwise how do I know that?"

Her devotion to school life has only grown over the years. While past royals like King Charles III were sent to boarding school from a young age, William and Kate have chosen a different path for their children. George, Charlotte, and Louis all attended Thomas’s Battersea in London before transferring to Lambrook School in Berkshire in 2022, after the family moved to Adelaide Cottage near Windsor.

Unlike previous royal generations, the Prince and Princess of Wales are determined to make school and sports part of family life. They regularly do the school run and are spotted cheering from the sidelines. "The couple actively participates in school activities, from doing the school run to cheering at sports events, creating a sense of normalcy for their children," a royal insider told HELLO!

Kate herself has been open about the challenges of balancing motherhood and duty. Back in 2020, on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, she admitted that “mum guilt” is something she lives with every day. "Anyone who doesn't as a mother is actually lying!" she laughed, before recalling a moment from earlier that day. "Even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here – George and Charlotte were like, 'Mummy, how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'"

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl had earlier added that the couple’s approach reflects their effort to stay grounded. Despite their status, "William and Kate aim to remain part of the school community without being aloof," she explained. But despite this careful attempt at normalcy, the Waleses are now facing a much harder decision about George’s next step. At 12, the young prince is nearing the stage where secondary education will shape both his academic path and personal development. Behind palace doors, the question of which school he should attend has reportedly led to “much debate.”

Per Cosmopolitan, after months of visits and deliberations, the couple is said to be leaning towards Eton College, the prestigious all-boys boarding school just a short drive from Windsor. Eton has educated generations of royals, including both William and Harry, and is seen as a natural choice for the future king. For Kate, however, the move appears bittersweet. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, “Kate is heartbroken about the decision, and her preference is for George to be at a co-educational school, so he can be with his siblings... It was a very happy school life for her at Marlborough, with her sister, Pippa, and brother, James.”
