Fans Left in Stitches as Camilla Repeatedly Nudges Charles on Camera: ‘Men… They’re All the Same’
During their recent visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla shared a typical married-couple moment, proving they are no different from us.
Although it took them an eternity to finally be together, King Charles and Queen Camilla have proven that their love stands the test of time. During their recent visit to celebrate The Eden Project's 25th anniversary on March 24, they shared a typical married-couple moment, proving they are no different from the rest of us. As Charles was engrossed in a conversation with volunteers, Camilla desperately kept poking him to gain his attention, but to no avail, leaving royal fans hysterical over the exchange.
In a video shared by HELLO!, the King is seen chatting with volunteers, giving his back to the Queen. However, she remained relentless in directing his attention towards a cake, poking and nudging him from behind. When that didn't work, she patted his arms and waist before gently grabbing his arm and turning him around. After Charles had noticed that it was his wife all along, he smiled and looked towards the cake. They were presented with a street-party-themed sponge, showing tiny people relishing lunch on their tables. It was meant to showcase the Big Lunch and the Big Help Out celebration, set to take place in June.
After royal fans caught wind of the hilarious exchange, they took to the comments to rib the royal couple. A netizen quipped, "Men ... they are all the same!! 😂😂" In a similar vein, another said, "Just shows you doesn't matter if you're a King or not, 😂." Meanwhile, a royal watcher joked, "I don't care who you are, your husband hears you last 😂" As the comments poured in, a person gushed, "It happens to all of us!!! 🤣🤣🤣! Love this couple ❤️" Not all were as kind, though, as one scoffed, "How rude he was busy chatting, she could have waited a few minutes."
During the cake-cutting event, which Camilla was very eager to get to, the Lord Lieutenant presented his sword to her and Charles, requesting them to cut a slice of the unique-looking cake. However, using the sword proved to be a real struggle. The cake was surprisingly thick, and their attempt turned into a bit of a back-and-forth. Rather than being embarrassed by it, the King and Queen simply laughed it off, leading to thunderous applause from the crowds.
To commemorate the milestone anniversary, Charles and Camilla took some time to promote a new volunteer drive called The Big Help Out, an initiative to generate environmental awareness and help people across the UK to pitch in with eco-friendly things like community gardening or cleaning up local spaces. Along the way, they also unveiled a plaque to mark the Eden Project's milestone anniversary. The Eden Project, founded in March 2001, is built on what used to be a clay pit and is now home to two huge enclosed biomes along with wide outdoor gardens.
