Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have always found themselves caught up in their parents’ many scandals. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson recently made headlines over leaked emails to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. While many praise Beatrice and Eugenie for appearing mature and composed amid the turmoil, a royal source claims this is far from the truth. According to the insider, while Beatrice and Eugenie have grown into 'intelligent, polite women,' their 'rarified' upbringing has left them 'just as entitled as their parents.'

Commenting on Eugenie and Beatrice’s privileged upbringing, the source told the Daily Mail, "They were never going to be working royals but have benefited from their family connection. Andrew introduced them to many of his business contacts and foreign royals. They and Fergie have become friends with some shady people." The insider, arguing their case, cited an incident where Beatrice had her BMW stolen in 2009 after leaving it unlocked with the car keys in the ignition. They stressed, "I think she [Beatrice] was used to her police protection officer looking after such things."

Commenting also on Beatrice and Eugenie’s decision not to undertake royal duties, the source added, "Whether you believe it was their decision [to not be working royals] or it was them and their father putting a brave face on things, he [Andrew] and they said they wanted careers instead of a life of ribbon-cutting." They also pointed out that in 2006, Andrew made headlines for inviting Epstein to Beatrice’s 18th birthday celebration.

A $1,380,000 payment from a wealthy businessman also sparked scrutiny, which Andrew claimed was intended as a gift for Beatrice’s wedding. Turkish millionaire Nebahat Isbilen made the transfer under the guidance of businessman Selman Turk. Isbilen believed his payment was for assistance in obtaining a new passport after fleeing Turkey, which Turk has denied. Additionally, a 2022 High Court case revealed that Eugenie had received an $18,550 'birthday gift' sent nearly six months early, from Isbilen.

Royal author Andrew Lownie, who wrote the scathing book Entitled, on Andrew and Ferguson's lives, also made shocking revelations about the Princesses' privileged childhood. In serialized excerpts, the biographer alleged an ex-staffer told him, "Every night she [Ferguson] demands a whole side of beef, a leg of lamb, and a chicken, which are laid out on the dining room table like a medieval banquet." The aide claimed that the feast was only made for Ferguson, Beatrice, and Eugenie, and most of which was wasted and callously thrown away the next day.

According to reports, the Duke of York was allegedly determined for his daughters to enjoy "many of the privileges of being Princesses." Today, both Beatrice and Eugenie are happily married with children, balancing successful careers with their charitable work. Eugenie resides in Ivy Cottage while Beatrice lives in a mansion in the Cotswolds. Their future as senior working royals, however, doesn't exist due to Andrew and Ferguson's many scandals. Apparently, the sisters are also not invited to the royal family's Christmas celebrations this year because of the new scandals.
