Meghan Markle remains haunted by rumors of workplace harassment. The Duchess of Sussex first faced allegations in 2018, prompting a formal investigation by the Palace. Now, another one of her high-profile aides has abruptly walked out, reigniting the long-standing bullying rumors. Emily Robinson, who joined as Prince Harry and Markle's Director of Communications, has reportedly quit after just four months, once again fueling chatter about the poor work environment around the Sussexes.

Before joining Markle's team in June, Robinson worked as a Senior Creative Director at Netflix. Commenting on her departure, a spokesperson for Harry and Markle told PEOPLE, "Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan, and additional support for the production company. She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success." Interestingly, Robinson never updated her LinkedIn profile to include her work with Markle. She is said to have quit on her own terms, the Daily Mail reported.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward believes that the Duchess and Robinson had disagreements concerning Markle's controversial Paris Fashion Week video, which she filmed herself in the same tunnel where Princess Diana had tragically passed away. She told The Sun, "So, of course, everyone said, oh, she's following the route that Diana took. Well, she probably may have been, or she may not have been, but how incredibly stupid." The expert added, "It was just really bad timing. Now, her PR people would surely have advised her that putting up all these posts is not a good idea," hinting that Robinson had had enough and eventually stepped down.

Robinson's sudden departure only fuels bullying rumors about the Duchess, after she became one of the 10 publicists to quit since 2020. In June, when Robinson joined, Harry and Markle allegedly fired their communications chiefs, Charlie Gipson and Kyle Boulia, who had worked with them for a year. Their shocking decision reportedly led to the other staff members leaving Markle's team.

Boulia worked as the Sussexes' LA-based deputy press secretary, and Gipson was their UK press officer. At the time, Meredith Kendall Maines, their chief communication officer, said that Harry and Markle's decision was a 'strategic' one and carried no bad blood towards their staff.

Allegations of Markle mistreating their staff were first exposed in The Times during her time in Kensington Palace in 2018. After the allegations surfaced, Buckingham Palace said it was "clearly very concerned about allegations in the Times" and its HR team looked into the circumstances outlined in the article. However, the Palace, at the time, opted not to make the results of their probe against Markle public.
