It comes as little surprise that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's controversial past has continued to fuel public ire, with the allegations against him widely viewed as unforgivable. As the former Duke of York is reportedly set to relocate to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate, disgruntled neighbors have made their qualms about his arrival clear. They believe he would be 'bored and isolated' at Sandringham, much as he is at Royal Lodge, particularly without his ex-wife and children by his side.

Speaking to the Daily Express, a local at Wolferton in Norfolk expressed their disdain about having to share their space with the former Duke. She fumed, "I just want to say that I think Andrew is an absolute disgrace. We live among the royals, and everyone is very respectful of that." Voicing her concerns about the potential hordes of paparazzi and reporters who could soon swarm their neighborhood, she added, "I'm disappointed that he's [Andrew] been moved within the village when the Crown Estate has other places…We got a taste of it when the late Queen died. It's going to change life around here, and I'm not the only one who feels that way."

Similarly, local Philip Sheppard echoed the same, describing the former Prince as a 'nuisance' and a 'great bother.' He opined, "He's [Andrew] going to be a bit bored and isolated... I don't think it'll do his health much good. The fact that he won't have Fergie to be a regular support will really have an effect on him." He continued, "You'll have press and photographers…People are treating it as a real kind of nuisance and a bit of an unwelcome addition to the royal residence."

Wolferton residents are no strangers to spotting the royal family in the area, with the late Queen regularly seen driving in her Range Rover around the village.

One Dersingham resident who regularly visits Wolferton remarked, "I don't like him. No one wants him... Everyone knows everyone, and everyone has the same thoughts." Likewise, fellow resident Nancy Rothery described his upcoming move to Norfolk as a 'huge adjustment,' noting that it would be a very different lifestyle from what he was used to at Royal Lodge. Her husband Craig added that while the area offers fewer facilities than London, it remains "a beautiful part of the country," with the couple agreeing there are "far worse places" to be banished to.

Regarding the former Prince's upcoming move, insiders have claimed that he had finally agreed to swap his plush Royal Lodge mansion for a 'shoebox-sized' holding property on the King's Norfolk estate. Days later, The Sun reported that the property could be Marsh Farm, noting that a no-fly zone had been extended to cover the area. Before settling on Marsh Farm, a source revealed that Mountbatten-Windsor had allegedly expressed interest in moving into his late father, Prince Philip's, former retirement home, Wood Farm, which reportedly did not come to fruition.
