Andrew Faces Being Temporarily 'Homeless’ by Easter as He Refuses to Lay Low
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's controversial association with Jeffrey Epstein remains one of the royal family's biggest scandals to date. Following scathing new allegations, King Charles acted swiftly, ordering his disgraced brother to surrender his titles and the keys to Royal Lodge. Amid conflicting reports over his departure date, royal expert Rebecca English claims the former Prince is expected to move out by Easter. According to her sources, he may be temporarily homeless next spring while renovations are carried out on his new home.
In an article for the Daily Mail, English stressed that Mountbatten-Windsor would move out by Easter, to potentially avoid an awkward run-in with the royal family, who mark the holiday on the Windsor estate. She believed that while he could relocate to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate, the residence would need a 'lot of work doing on it,' suggesting that he could potentially be 'homeless' for a short period of time next spring. Commenting on the same, a source said, "The plan is that he will not be at Royal Lodge by Easter. But might there need to be an interim measure [as regards moving to Norfolk]? Possibly."
With all of these in mind, the royal expert argued that Mountbatten-Windsor's eviction from Royal Lodge might not be the clean and quick break originally hoped for. She continued, "There is also frustration that Andrew seems determined not to keep his head down despite his disgrace, choosing to start riding again where photographers are inevitably waiting and even going out in his car on Christmas Day." Criticizing his alleged entitlement, an insider fumed, "It's difficult to know if he [Andrew] is being deliberately provocative, utterly pig-headed, or just plain stupid. Knowing Andrew, it could be any one of the three…He really is a man with a habit of making terribly bad decisions."
Similarly, royal author Robert Jobson also believed that the royal family was allegedly done with the former Prince and wanted him out by early 2026. He told HELLO, "The royals are hoping to draw a line under the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor controversy in 2026. He is expected to move out of his Royal Lodge home in Windsor for a more modest property on the King's private Sandringham estate." For now, the disgraced royal has been pictured horse riding near his Windsor home, where he is said to lead a quiet and 'depressed' life in isolation.
Given that Mountbatten-Windsor has shown little urgency to move out, King Charles can hatch a smart plan to expedite his relocation. According to the Daily Express, the monarch could force his disgraced brother to vacate the property by 'confiscating' a key personal asset, one that might 'make him cry.' That asset is Mountbatten-Windsor's alleged infamous collection of teddy bears. Citing unnamed sources, the outlet affirmed that because he was "somewhat obsessed with teddy bears," arranging for the stuffed toys to be packed away could potentially force him to "quit Royal Lodge by the start of January [2026]."
