5 Most Expensive Jewelry Pieces Princess Charlotte Will Likely Inherit from Mom Kate
For My Daughter!
Princess Charlotte could have quite the jewelry collection waiting for her one day, thanks to her mother. Princess Kate has built up an impressive collection of royal jewels, and Charlotte has already started taking a few style notes from her mom. At King Charles’ 2023 coronation, the mother-daughter duo wore matching silver floral headpieces, with Charlotte wearing a mini version of Kate’s. And it seems the young Princess is already getting her own taste of royal heirlooms too. At the 2025 Trooping the Colour parade, the 10-year-old wore a diamond horseshoe brooch that belonged to the Queen Mother and was later given to her by her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
A Royal Gem
Princess Diana’s famous sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring is now one of the most recognizable pieces in Kate’s jewelry box, and it could eventually make its way to Charlotte. Diana picked the ring from Garrard after getting engaged to then-Prince Charles in 1981, choosing a 12-carat oval Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds and set in 18-carat white gold. After Diana’s passing, the ring made its way to Prince William when he proposed to Kate. As per Marie Claire, the ring initially cost around $37,000, but after more than 40 years, its value has risen significantly. In today’s market, it is estimated to be worth $592,000.
A Family Treasure
These diamond chandelier earrings have quite the royal history behind them. Originally made by Cartier for society hostess Dame Margaret Greville, the earrings became part of the royal collection after she left her jewelry to the Queen Mother in 1942. She later gave them to her daughter, Elizabeth, as a wedding gift in 1947. Kate has since brought the dazzling pair back into the spotlight and worn them at several major royal events, including the 2023 Jordanian royal wedding. With its long, dramatic design and rows of diamonds, they are hard to miss, and Seven Stones estimated it to be worth around $2 million. Charlotte might one day get her chance to wear the spectacular family heirloom too.
The Emerald Stunner
Talk about a royal hand-me-down with some serious history. The emerald choker was originally made for Queen Mary using emeralds and diamonds she received at the 1911 Delhi Durbar, before being redesigned by Garrard in the 1920s. It later passed to the late Queen, who famously lent it to Diana. Kate has since worn the heirloom at the 2022 Earthshot Prize in Boston. With experts at Steven Stone estimating its value at around $20 million, it could be quite the statement piece if Charlotte eventually gets to wear it herself.
Pearls of Wisdom
Kate’s three-strand pearl bracelet was owned by Diana after it was created by designer Nigel Milne in 1988. The bracelet features three rows of cultured pearls separated by diamond-and-pearl spacers. After her death, the bracelet eventually passed to Kate, who has worn it on several occasions. However, at the 2026 Trooping the Color, Charlotte had a little mother-daughter fashion moment of her own, wearing a similar three-strand pearl bracelet while Kate wore Diana’s original. As per Seven Stones, the piece is estimated to be worth around $46,000, and Charlotte could one day have the real thing as well.
A Timeless Piece
Not all of Kate’s jewelry has been handed down through the royal family. Prince William added something of his own to her collection when he gave her a Cartier Ballon Bleu watch for their third wedding anniversary in 2014. The stainless-steel watch has Cartier’s signature blue cabochon on the crown, along with blue hands that match Kate’s famous sapphire engagement ring. She has worn the watch for years, and it could eventually become another special piece for Charlotte. Steven Stone estimates Kate’s watch is worth around $26,000.
