4 Locations Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Could Be Eyeing for Their UK Return
The Big Comeback
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently preparing for a major new chapter as they are set to return to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Their kids will reportedly also be joining a local school in the UK. While the Sussexes are understood to have secured a private, non-royal home, the exact location is being kept under wraps for security reasons. The secrecy has naturally intrigued public interest about where the family could settle. Several areas have emerged as possible options, and here we bring you the top four possibilities.
The Cotswolds
Amongst all options, the Cotswolds look like one of the strongest possibilities for the Sussexes. Harry and Markle were reportedly spotted house-hunting in the area during their July visit to the UK. Reports also suggest that the couple explored a private enclave that is popular with celebrities and the wealthy crowd. If they go with this option, it will also put them within relatively easy reach of King Charles' Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire. The area is also special to the couple, as before their wedding, Harry and Markle spent several months living in a farmhouse on the Great Tew Estate in the Cotswolds.
The Great Tew Estate
Great Tew, Oxfordshire, is another location that cannot be ignored. The couple previously rented a farmhouse there while Frogmore Cottage was being renovated. The Estate is also close to Soho Farmhouse, a favourite celebrity retreat where Markle has longstanding connections. The wider Cotswolds and Oxfordshire area is home to several famous faces, making it a natural fit for the Sussexes if they want privacy without completely stepping away from their celebrity circle.
Northamptonshire
Northamptonshire, near Althorp, could be an even more emotional choice for Harry. During their July UK visit, Harry, Markle and their children visited Althorp House, the childhood home and the resting place of Princess Diana. As the couple was rumoured to have stayed in the Estate it give rise to speculations of them, considering to find a home somewhere nearby. Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, could potentially also be helping the Sussexes to find their perfect home.
Somewhere Outside London
Another possibility is that Harry and Meghan could initially choose somewhere outside London before deciding where they want to settle permanently. With Archie and Lilibet reportedly preparing to start school in the UK in September, being within easy reach of London could make practical sense. It would allow Markle to maintain access to the capital for her possible work, events and social commitments while giving the family more privacy than a central London home.
