Beatrice Allegedly Planning for a Baby to Save Her Marriage—and Pregnant Eugenie Is Not Having It
Beatrice is considering having another child, which Eugenie believes is a 'mistake,' urging her to prioritize honest communication instead.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have supported each other through thick and thin, especially after their parents' scandals became public. Now, however, they may be at odds over a major decision. Sources claim that after her sister announced her pregnancy, Beatrice is feeling broody and considering having another child, both to give her children a sibling and to save her reportedly strained marriage. Eugenie, meanwhile, is not pleased with this, urging her sibling to focus on communication and honesty with her husband instead.
Speaking to Woman's Day, an insider alleged that Beatrice is 'worried about her marriage,' and is reportedly wondering if bringing another baby would stabilize her union with Edoardo Mapelli Mozi. "Beatrice is fast turning into the queen of denial, and this plan is no exception." However, her younger sister has voiced her concern against this, as they added, "Eugenie thinks it's a mistake to bring another baby into that situation, and she [Beatrice] should work things out with Edo before blindsiding him with something like this. It's true he'd never walk out on his pregnant wife, but pinning all her hopes on a band-aid baby could make an already tense situation worse."
Rumors of Beatrice's marriage being on the rocks were first fueled by The Daily Mail, which claimed that she and her husband were increasingly spending time apart. While the Princess reportedly wished to focus on her parents, Mozzi was swamped with work commitments, driving the wedge between them. A source spilled, "Things haven't been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through." They added that she was quite different from Eugenie, as she always saw the good in people, even when it meant overlooking uncomfortable truths: "That is why she [Beatrice] was blind to her father's behavior, and the same is true of her belief in Edo."
On the other hand, Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, announced on May 4th that they were expecting their third child this summer. They are already proud parents to two sons, August and Earnest, who are eagerly waiting for their siblings' arrival. After the child's birth, he/she will be placed as 15th in line to the throne, pushing Prince Edward to the 16th spot. The child will also hold a significant position in the family's legacy, as he/she would be the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth.
Announcing the happy news, the royal family's Instagram shared the couple's happiness, noting, "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer…His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news." The announcement came with a picture of August and Ernest, excitedly holding an ultrasound scan. As per the Palace, the boys are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.
