"The UK May Not Be Big Enough": Sussex-Beckham Feud Could Reignite with Harry and Meghan's Return
The bad blood between the Sussexes and the Beckhams could come to a head as Harry and Meghan return.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently made a grand return to Britain, landing in Birmingham Airport on a private jet with their adorable kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and their beloved pets, Mamma Mia and Pula. Their homecoming has reignited questions about their relationship with David and Victoria Beckham. The Sussexes and the Beckhams used to be close friends once. In fact, David and Harry had been friends for ages, and the Beckhams even attended the latter and Markle’s royal wedding back in 2018. Unfortunately, the friendship reportedly came crashing down following an unexpected falling out.
This happened because Markle was genuinely suspicious that their private information was being leaked to the media, and she went so far as to blame the Beckhams for the breach. The tension escalated until Harry directly confronted David about the issue, which reportedly left both men deeply hurt and furious with each other. The incident caused a rift in their relationship that never healed. In fact, a London insider elaborated on the fallout, stating, “That was the moment Victoria was done. She believed Meghan questioned their loyalty and embarrassed David. Victoria can forgive plenty. Disloyalty isn’t one of them.”
Now that Markle is back in the U.K., which is Victoria‘s ‘turf,’ tensions between the two couples could easily reignite. Insiders speaking to Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice Substack made it clear that the Beckhams' influence in Britain is enormous, and underestimating their power would be a major mistake. While elaborating on this, a source exclaimed, “The UK may not be big enough for Meghan and Victoria!” before adding, “If London society is choosing tables, Victoria wins. The Beckhams have fashion, football, celebrities, billionaires, media, and royalty. Meghan cannot compete with decades of those relationships.”
Various sources genuinely believe the bad blood between the Sussexes and the Beckhams is still as bitter as ever. However, it has been made clear that the Beckhams don’t actually need to go on the attack. A source close to the couple opened up about the dynamic, stating, “Victoria doesn’t need to attack Meghan. She has something much more powerful: relationships. People know where they stand with the Beckhams, and nobody wants to find themselves on the wrong side of Victoria.” That said, neither the Sussexes nor the Beckhams, nor their representatives, have officially commented on any of these claims.
