Queen Elizabeth Is 'Itching To Get Back To Normal,' Will Host 'Family Barbecues' At Balmoral Estate, Source Claims

Queen Elizabeth is sick of being stuck inside! The 95-year-old took off for her Balmoral estate in Scotland a few weeks ago, and it seems like she is going to try and host some family members out there so she's not alone.

“The Queen just wants to crack on. She is itching to get back to normal like everyone else," a source told The Sun. “The family barbecues are back on the agenda even without Philip there for the first time.”

According to the outlet, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward are expected to lead the gathering. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Mike and Zara Tindall are also expected to pop in and spend some time with the monarch.

Another surprise guest is Sarah Ferguson, who was married to Prince Andrew for 10 years. "She will be here with Andrew," a source told Richard Eden.

On Monday, August 9, the Queen made a public appearance when she received an official welcome — and she even got to meet a Shetland Pony named Cruachan IV.

This is the first time the Queen has been at her Balmoral estate since Philip died in April.

“She could not wait to get away," a source told The Sun. “She is still grieving very deeply and wanted to head to Balmoral to escape from things. She is also incredibly tired.”

Over the last few months, the Queen has been trying to stay positive, as she has been spotted out at events more and more.

"Anyone who knows the Queen or works with the Queen knows that she would take a little bit of time, but not a huge amount, to mourn her husband," expert Roya Nikkhah told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat. "What we really saw from June onwards was her carrying out a lot of activities."
