Princess Eugenie Shares Rare Glimpse of Jack Brooksbank as Dad to Newborn Adelaide
They met on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010 and had their first date a few weeks later at Osteria Basilico in Notting Hill, London.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were married eight years ago today at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The couple share three children and have lived a life away from the royal spotlight. Eugenie celebrated the special milestone by honoring her husband with an adorable video on Instagram showcasing his support as a loving father. "Happy 8 years married, my love. What you can't hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way... so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3. Couldn't have wished for a better partner," she captioned the video on Instagram featuring their 2-month-old daughter Adelaide.
In the video, Brooksbank is seen tenderly comforting his daughter by rubbing her head and patting her back as she lay against his chest, gazing out the window. Back in 2018, Eugenie had expressed her initial anxiety about becoming a royal bride. The nerves "are creeping up on us", she had said during an exclusive with ITV’s This Morning, PEOPLE! reported. "It’s nerve-wracking and a bit scary and all the things that come with getting married, but at the end of the day you get to marry the person you love," she added. She then playfully told Jack that during the wedding she would run towards him. Brooksbank, in return, had humorously noted Eugenie's calm demeanor and impressive multitasking skills, highlighting her ability to manage both her work and the wedding preparations efficiently, while reaffirming that she has not exhibited any bridezilla tendencies.
They met on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010 and had their first date a few weeks later at Osteria Basilico in Notting Hill, London. They had their first child, son August Philip Hawke, on February 9, 2021, followed by their second child, son Ernest George Ronnie, on May 30, 2023. The couple recently welcomed their third child, daughter Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, on August 3, with her middle name likely honoring Eugenie’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Last year, Eugenie had posted a loved-up tribute to their marriage. The picture showed the couple kissing, with her proudly wearing a pink jacket with 'Brooksbank' in glitter.
The couple has been spending time mostly in Portugal since 2022. Brooksbank's work has them residing in the Algarve. While they continue to keep their London home, their villa, valued at £3.6 million ($4.8 million), has become their primary residence.
