Princess Beatrice's Husband's Deleted Post Raises Eyebrows Amid Rumors of Marital Trouble
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had posted an Instagram reel promoting his brand with a telling caption, 'Life is not a movie.'
Unlike their parents, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie appear to be going strong with their spouses, often presenting a united front at royal events. However, Beatrice's marital bliss recently came under scrutiny after reports alleged she and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had grown distant, owing to Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's recent scandals. While their friends have dismissed the claims, Mozzi's recent social media activity, briefly posting and then deleting a telling post, has set the rumor mills in motion again.
The father of three had posted a picturesque Instagram reel, which showed him visiting art galleries, relishing expensive dinners, walking down streets flanked by palm trees, and admiring extravagant yachts. The video appeared to be a promotional shoot for his interior designing company, Banda, showing him attending business events. While the clip was innocent, what specifically caught royal watchers' attention was the fact that Mozzi recently scrubbed the post from his Instagram shortly after the marriage rumors surfaced. Interestingly, it was also captioned, "Life is not a movie," a subtle response to the speculation, suggesting that their relationship was being treated as entertainment rather than a real situation with personal consequences.
Meanwhile, the video, originally posted on February 6, is still up on his company's page. The Daily Mail first claimed that Beatrice and Mozzi's marriage was on the rocks as the Princess wished to focus on her parents, while Mozzi was swamped with work commitments. A source said, "Things haven't been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through." They added that the Princess was quite different from her sister, as she always saw the good in people, even when it meant overlooking uncomfortable truths: "That is why she [Beatrice] was blind to her father's behavior, and the same is true of her belief in Edo."
Amid the speculation, Beatrice and Mozzi let their actions speak for themselves, as they were seen in Notting Hill for a date at Eeel Sushi Bar, appearing happy together. They reportedly spent two hours inside before being picked up in a Porsche. Their friends also insisted that all was well between them, with one telling HELLO!, "The only thing Bea and Edo are navigating is their busy jobs and looking after their children. They've both had recent stints working abroad and, like so many working parents, have been balancing work with looking after the kids."
After their father's shameful arrest in February, the York sisters are said to be focusing on their immediate family, trying to distance themselves from the scandal. Royal expert Ingrid Seward told PEOPLE, "They're [Beatrice and Eugenie] like a locked ship right now. They are tarnished by this." In the case of Beatrice, she is a mom to two young daughters, Sienna, 4, and Athena, 1, as well as a proud stepmother to Mozzi's son, 'Wolfie,' 9, from a previous partner.
