Prince Harry’s Sweet Reaction to a Woman Who Yelled ‘We Love You’ Earns Him a New Nickname

Prince Harry is a master at engaging with the public in a way that's relatable, much like his mom, Princess Diana. The Duke of Sussex warmly interacted with well-wishers during his engagements in the UK, always greeting them with a smile and sharing a few quips. On September 9, he visited the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham, where more than 100 people gathered to cheer him. Amid the chaos, a woman screamed, ‘Harry We Love You,’ prompting laughter from the Duke that melted royal fans' hearts and earned him the nickname 'People's Prince.'

A video that made the rounds on Instagram shows the woman's public declaration of love, capturing the Prince's attention, as he immediately turns around, giggles, and smiles at her and the crowd. Many fans compared his warmth and commitment to charity to the values of his late mother. His tour to Nottingham was part of a four-day trip to the UK, which he began on September 8. Harry arrived in Nottingham about 45 minutes late owing to the Tube Strike in London.

After the video went viral, royal watchers took to the comments to gush about the Prince. A fan penned, "His eyes and his laugh... speak volumes. Love... positivity." In a similar vein, another echoed, "This is what honor, strength, loyalty, [being] human looks like." A netizen gushed, "A great human being and Prince!! He is loved by us all!" A comment also read, "He’s a veteran and ever the professional with integrity and a family man- cheers to good work 🥂."
Royal fans also drew comparisons between Harry and Diana, who had earned the nickname ‘The People’s Princess.' A netizen stressed, "I love Prince Harry. He is definitely the People's Prince, just like his mother." Another echoed, "The People's Prince... Just like his mother." Meanwhile, a royal watcher gushed, "Who doesn’t love Prince Harry? He’s so much like his mother. We love you, Harry."

During the visit, Harry announced that he would donate $1.5 million to the BBC Children in Need charity, one of the largest individual sums donated by a royal family member. Shortly after announcing his donation, the Duke also gave a speech in which he stated that he was making a 'significant investment' in the community. He believed that the organizations supported would help "build trust and offer hope and belonging" to the young people.
He said, "The incredible work being done by grassroots organizations like CRS and Epic Partners is not only inspiring — it’s essential... We’re grateful for the support of BBC Children in Need in helping changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces, build trust, and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most." The Children in Need initiative will use the money to support safe, inclusive spaces, where youth workers can build positive relationships to help young people discover their strengths.
