Prince Harry's Reaction to a Beachgoer Sleeping in His Path Has Fans Saying the Same Thing [Video]
A sunbather in Bondi Beach stayed put without so much as a glance as the Sussexes passed by, leaving the internet in stitches.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are no strangers to being mobbed for selfies the moment they step outside. That being said, their April 17 visit to Bondi Beach in Australia was peak chaos, with crowds flocking in to see the royal couple. Still, one sunbather clearly missed the memo, or just didn't care, staying put without so much as a flinch as the couple passed by. The hilarious moment didn't just amuse royal watchers online; even the Duke was left in stitches. But hey, she was there first!
In a clip posted on TikTok, which has since amassed over 1.3 million views, a woman is seen relaxing in her towel when she is suddenly interrupted by a horde of people surrounding Harry and Markle. The royal couple was mobbed by fans, lifeguards, camera operators, and the media as they walked on the beach. At one point, Harry appears to notice the unfazed woman and cracks up in a laugh as she lies through the commotion. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had visited the beach to spend time with first responders and lifeguards from the Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club.
After royal fans noticed the hilarious exchange, they took to the comments to praise her so-called indifference. A netizen gushed, "She was so unbothered ✨✨ may her life be peaceful and uninterrupted." In a similar vein, another beamed, "We love an unbothered queen." Meanwhile, a royal watcher quipped, "That's the kind of unbothered I'm trying to achieve this year!" As the comments poured in, a person clapped back, "I mean, she was there first, right?" Another also asserted, "It takes a lot of effort to find the perfect beach spot and get comfy... I wouldn't have moved either lol."
Even after the incident, Harry and Markle's star power was on full display as a mob of crowd gathered around them to shake hands and click selfies. As they were honoring the ones who saved lives during the tragic December 14 Bondi terrorist attack, Australians broke out in cheers and hoots, proving that the 'Sussex Effect' was here to stay. The Sussexes seemed to love the attention, warmly interacting with their fans and snapping pictures with them. The NSW Police then escorted them to Sydney Harbour along with other members of Invictus Australia.
During the emotional outing, the Duchess of Sussex was also seen smiling after she was gifted a pair of Invictus Australia-branded thongs, emblazoned with G'day Megs. After spending over half an hour with the volunteers, they came to the beach and subsequently left for the cruise. Following a sailing trip around Sydney Harbour, the couple attended a Super Rugby match. Later, Markle made her highly anticipated appearance in the women-led Her Best Life retreat at the InterContinental Sydney. Despite the exuberant ticket prices, given their popularity, the event seemed to be a success.
