Prince Harry Spotted Beaming at Veterans Event Following UK Relocation News
The estranged Prince Harry was spotted for the first time since the comeback revelation, in a noticeably jolly mood.
While the rest of the royal family was reportedly left bamboozled by the announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are returning to the UK, Harry himself seemed to be buzzing with joy at the prospect. The estranged prince was spotted for the first time since the news broke, appearing in a noticeably jolly mood during a veterans’ event in Washington, DC. Not only was he engaging in conversation with the other attendees, but he was also seen sharing a lighthearted moment with a fellow redhead while taking part in a roundtable discussion.
As per recent reports, Harry and his wife, Markle, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be moving into a non-royal property in England. Moreover, they have reportedly already enrolled their kids in a local school in the UK ahead of the new academic year starting in September. While the shift calls for a drastic change, Harry seemed completely unfazed by it all as he took part in a roundtable to support veterans.
The prince was in Washington on Wednesday for an event organized by The Independence Fund, a US organization supporting severely wounded and injured veterans and their families. He spoke about the importance of giving former service members greater support and making better use of their military experience after leaving the armed forces. However, the serious discussion also featured a fun moment when Harry shared a light-hearted chat with participant William Bringer, who also sports red hair.
The prince appeared to joke about their shared ginger locks. Mid-conversation, Harry placed his hands on Bringer’s shoulders and scratched his own hair as the pair laughed over a shared joke. The lighthearted moment drew plenty of attention, especially given the major life changes ahead for the Sussexes. During the Washington event, Harry also addressed the challenges facing veterans and the need to recognize their skills beyond military service. He stated (via The Sun), “It’s not about creating more heroes because they already live among us. It’s about being able to really value their expertise, their experiences.”
In an interview with the Associated Press, he also called for “moral leadership” and said he believed younger generations could bring a different approach to leadership. “What we need is the younger generation coming into leadership who perhaps see the world slightly differently, and I think a little less testosterone might do as well," he shared.
While Harry was seen completely relaxed at the conference, things back home are reportedly not the same, with reports emerging that Prince William was completely blindsided by the news of the Sussexes' return. Only time will tell if Harry and Markle will gradually rejoin the royal family or continue to remain estranged.
