Meghan Markle Shares Special Moment With Expectant Singer at David Foster's Gala
During the star-studded David Foster Foundation Gala, Meghan Markle shared a heartfelt message with the expectant singer.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's appearance at the star-studded David Foster Foundation Gala had everyone talking, but now there's an interesting scoop on what really went down at the bash. The couple was seen at their fashionable best at the event, and while they were all smiles, Markle reportedly shared a deeply personal message with singer Pia Toscano. The singer has worked with Foster since 2017 and is currently expecting her first child, due in December.
David Foster’s 40th anniversary celebration for the David Foster Foundation in Victoria was a massive success, raising roughly $14.5 million to support Canadian families with children in need of life-saving organ transplants. The three-day-long event was attended by several bigwigs, including American Idol alum Pia Toscano, who performed Feeling Good on stage. In a conversation with Page Six, the singer revealed that after her performance, she approached Harry and Markle at the head table.
Talking about their conversation, Toscano shared that she received a warm reaction from the couple. Markle reportedly touched Toscano’s stomach before the pair hugged and congratulated her on her pregnancy. The Duchess then shared a personal message with the singer, telling her, “This is the most beautiful time of your life.” The words were likely from her own personal experience of having two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In recent years, Markle has often spoken warmly about motherhood. During her appearance on Confessions of a Female Founder, she shared, “Before I was a mom, I was like, ‘Oh gosh, I’m going to give a speech with a baby on my hip.’” She further told host Cassandra Thurswell, “I had a whole vision. I was like, I’m just going to, and then you fast forward. Granted, I had a lot of external things happening by the time I had both pregnancies and both babies, but it was not the way I envisioned it.”
However, soon after her initial hiccup with parenting, Markle found her balance and now hails her kids as true blessings. Recently, during a Q&A video with InStyle magazine, she talked about motherhood, sharing, “I feel like we have superpowers because we juggle it all and enjoy it all with grace and grit at the same time.” She also explained how her daughter gives her the courage to be brave, saying, “Every day, when I feel a little bit like, ‘Oh gosh, can I do this?’ I go, ‘Lili would do it.”
From the same event, another performer, Sydnie Christmas, also had kind words for the couple. The 2024 Britain’s Got Talent winner described Harry as a “very kind soul,” with a “kind face, kind eyes,” while saying Markle “looked like she knew everybody” and “like she was having the best time.”
