Meghan Markle is Reportedly 'Love-Bombing' Netflix Boss With Cards, Flowers, and Homemade Jam
A few days ago, Meghan and Harry attended a star-studded private party hosted by the Netflix CEO.
Back in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a multi-year Netflix deal, which was once valued at up to $100 million. As a part of this, the couple has released several projects over the years, including Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead, Polo, and With Love, Meghan. However, the partnership has reportedly faced major turbulence in recent years, with several of its projects underperforming and even drawing public criticism. Meanwhile, in recent news, it has been reported that Meghan Markle is now trying to make things better by 'love-bombing' the top executives through thoughtful gestures.
The Duchess is trying to maintain good relations with CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, by regularly reaching out to them with personal gifts ranging from handwritten letters to flowers, and even jars of her As Ever jam, as reported by Rob Shuter. One insider spoke about this and said, “It’s constant — cards, gifts, deeply personal messages. She’s making sure they feel valued, remembered, and appreciated." Another source added to this, saying, “What’s happening off-camera is far more strategic — and far more meaningful. She’s trying to rebuild trust in a deeply personal way. This isn’t transactional — it’s emotional.”
At the same time, a third insider stated, “To some, it comes off as too much — and honestly, it’s not working. If anything, it’s becoming annoying. But Meghan believes it’s necessary. In her mind, this is how you repair — and secure — a relationship.” They also claimed she was not stepping back from the connection quietly or without a fight. These thoughtful gestures come amid growing questions about Meghan’s relationship with the streaming giant, particularly after the reported split between her lifestyle brand As Ever and Netflix.
In an official statement, Netflix said, "Meghan's passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life. As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently." The brand, which is well known for its jams, was launched by the Duchess just last year, and was financially supported by Netflix, in a separate deal to that of her TV content.
Incidentally, a few days ago, Meghan and Harry attended a star-studded private party hosted by the Netflix CEO. At the event, the couple seemed cheerful as they posed alongside Sarandos and Avant. One photograph shows Meghan and Avant holding hands, while another captures them sharing a friendly, affectionate hug. Moreover, the Chief Content Officer of Netflix, Bela Bajaria, revealed that the streaming giant still has a working relationship with the royal couple, and there are some projects in development for both TV and the big screen, as reported by People Magazine.
