King Charles Did the Most Grandpa Thing Ever and Picked Up a Sweet Gift for Princess Charlotte
King Charles will bring home a sweet gift for a beloved royal from Northern Ireland this week and has already claimed that it will be well-received.
King Charles is known for putting effort into gifts with a personal touch to members of the royal family. Recently, the monarch, accompanied by Queen Camilla, landed in Belfast for an unannounced visit to Northern Ireland. It is now being reported that the monarchs will tour the beautiful country for three days, and the King still has one more surprise up his sleeve for a family member. He will be bringing back a special gift from Northern Ireland for a beloved royal, none other than his granddaughter, Princess Charlotte.
During the tour, Charles and Camilla visited the science and discovery centre, Odyssey Palace, which is home to W5 LIFE (Learning Innovation for Everyone). The sovereign had the opportunity to meet several young business owners supported by his organization, the King’s Trust. It was during this visit that Charles found the cutest gift for his granddaughter. He certainly is a doting grandfather after all.
Rachel Rose, a young jewellery business owner who runs Empower Flower, presented Charles with a beaded charm for Charlotte—graciously accepting the sweet gift, the sovereign assured Rose that the 11-year-old would love it. “Thank you, she will love that,” he told Hello!. Charlotte shares a close bond with her grandfather and will undoubtedly be happy to receive such a special souvenir from his travels. Especially since Charles was forced to miss her 11th birthday this year because he was in Bermuda.
While the beaded charm will certainly appeal to the young princess who has often been spotted wearing cute accessories, Rose also had a very important intent behind creating the beaded charms. “I wanted to give back after experiencing some dark times myself. I’m trying to encourage people to come off their phones and use their hands to create some magic,” she said. Given the cause behind the accessories, even Charlotte’s parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be happy with the gift since they have a no-phone policy for their children.
While this time, it will be Charles who will bring back gifts for his granddaughter, it usually seems to be the other way around. The King is often seen wearing friendship bracelets and sported a bright pink one during the Royal Windsor Horse Show last week. Although the creator behind those friendship bracelets hasn’t been revealed, Charlotte is an obvious suspect. She frequently wears friendship bracelets, which became a global phenomenon during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in the past few years. Charlotte seems to be a big Swiftie, as she could be seen beaming with joy when she met the singer-songwriter during a London show in 2024.
Charles and Camilla will spend another day in Northern Ireland this week before returning home. Meanwhile, the Chelsea Flower Show is going on in full swing in London. The monarchs attended the grand event on Tuesday before flying off to Belfast.
