Prince Harry and King Charles’s potential reconciliation is on every royal watcher’s mind. It has been reported that the two may reunite in 2027, during the Birmingham Invictus Games, as Harry is allegedly to extend a formal invite. The first step toward reconciliation, a 'peace summit' between the two parties’ respective aides, was held earlier this month in London. While the meeting was a private one, held in a club in the city, an expert has claimed that it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who 'leaked' the news.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield recently threw light on the recent meeting of Harry and Charles’s aides, claiming that the Sussexes have again made it difficult for the royals to trust them after the leaks. The expert told Sky News Australia that the monarch and his estranged son could briefly meet in September, but slammed, “I also think that somebody leaked this story and I don't see the value in it [for the King].” The expert detailed her conversation with royal author Tom Bower, and shared, “And I talked to Tom Bower about it, too. I don't see the value in the King leaking this story. Despite the Sussexes saying they didn't leak the story, I do believe the Sussexes leaked the story, which goes to prove that they can't be trusted. So why would the King risk anything by meeting with Harry and Megan and have Harry and Megan or their friends discuss what happened at that meeting?”

The royal family’s trust issues with Harry and Meghan Markle follow the couple's many claims about the Crown in interviews. After their bombshell sitdown with Oprah Winfrey, they also aired their grievances with the royal family in their Netflix documentary and Harry’s memoir, Spare. They have also been accused of using their royal connections to land multimillion-dollar deals. Alluding to the same, Schofield said, “Surely Harry and Meghan know by now that their incessant leaking, their twisting of these family dynamics for content for their different media outlets, whether it's podcasts or their little documentary series, reality show, or Harry's book.” The expert warned the couple “to stop if there's to be any reconciliation.” She stressed, “Why would they continue to leak when they know it's the biggest hurdle perhaps to father and son coming together again?”

While experts believe the Sussexes were behind the leak, sources close to them are denying the allegations. As reported by The Telegraph, insiders have claimed that the Sussexes are ‘understood to be frustrated’ with the leak, as pictures of their aides meeting and the details of their discussion made it to the press. The insiders have also confirmed that Harry and Markle have acknowledged that the leak was not the ‘ideal way’ to reopen the channel of communication between them and the royal family.
