Another day, another blow to Sarah Ferguson's already damaged reputation. A fresh batch of files released by the US Department of Justice revealed the extent of her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, despite her public denials. In one email, the former Duchess of York mentioned meeting 'brother' Epstein for lunch, gushing over his touching compliment. Interestingly, her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were also present, raising concerns about the disgraced financier's troubling proximity to the princesses.

The exchange, sent on August 3, 2009, is between Epstein and someone referred to as 'Sarah,' who speaks of the high demand for her projects. It read, "I had the best discussion with Target on Friday, and they want desperately the whole Mothers Army project. They also want to get behind my entire Sarah Ferguson brand, books, etc." Speaking highly about the aforementioned lunch, she added, "In just one week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted. I have never been more touched by a friend's kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls. Thank you, Jeffrey, for being the brother I have always wished for."

Additionally, messages sent before August also indicated that Beatrice and Eugenie were to meet Epstein for lunch, shortly after his release from a Florida jail. In July 2009, the disgraced financier sent an email to Ferguson asking, "Where are you?" She responded, "In Miami. What number shall I call you on now?" After Epstein offered a ride to pick her and her daughters up, she replied, "I made Phillip give us his car and a backup one for the policeman," confirming it will be "myself, Beatrice, and Eugenie."

The timing of the correspondence was especially in poor taste, considering that it was after Epstein was convicted in 2008 for having indecent relations with minors.

The messages between Ferguson and Epstein came just months before she casually described Eugenie's weekend plans with her then-boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank. In another email from 2010, after the supposed lunch with her daughters, Epstein asked Ferguson whether she would be traveling to New York. She crudely responded, "Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!" At the time, Eugenie was 19 and just two days away from her 20th birthday. Meanwhile, Beatrice was 20.

After the release of the fresh batch of emails on January 30, the York sisters are said to be 'aghast' at their mother. A source close to them told the Daily Mail, "We don't believe the girls were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man." More messages between Ferguson and Epstein saw her making a joke marriage proposal, being available at his service, and calling him a 'legend.'
