Fergie Allegedly Used Princess Beatrice's Credit Card to Fund Her Lifestyle, a New Book Claims
A new book reveals that the former Duchess of York allegedly never paid for anything while remaining riddled with scandal.
Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is in the midst of a financial crisis described as 'utterly desperate.' According to reports, her credit cards have been maxed out, and she has expressed a desire to resume work. Compounding her troubles, her past ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein have severely damaged her reputation and hindered her ability to secure a steady income. Amid these mounting pressures, royal author Andrew Lownie's revised book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, further complicates matters by accusing Fergie of financially profiting from her own family members, particularly Princess Beatrice.
The book claims the former Duchess relied on her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice's, credit card to fund her extravagant lifestyle, causing significant embarrassment to her daughters. “Sarah herself drew on Beatrice's credit card constantly and paid one psychic in cigarettes," Lownie's book shockingly revealed. Ferguson also "rarely paid for anything", it added. The book further claims that her assistants and staff faced financial troubles and frequently paid out of pocket, while being obliged to sign strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Before her recent professional fallout, Ferguson maintained a prominent media presence, serving as a special correspondent for NBC and later appearing as a recurring contributor on ITV’s Loose Women. To add more to her troubles, last year the former Duchess of York lost support from several charities, including Julia's House and The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, following the leak of an April 2011 email in which she referred to Epstein as a 'supreme friend.' Currently, Ferguson is looking to bag exclusive deals for tell-all books and a TV show to protect her future after the Epstein controversy cost her possibilities as a children's book author.
Talking about her alleged media deals, royal journalist Rob Shuter claimed on his Naughty But Nice Substack that she intended for a TV deal, but her past indiscretions jeopardized her prospects. Producers explored creating a UK version of an Ellen DeGeneres-style talk show, but a terrible incident involving Fergie presented problems. During discussions, she unexpectedly left NBC executives babysitting her daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, for two days, leaving a terrible impression on the network. “These folks flew overseas to negotiate a television deal,” an insider told Shuter. “Instead, they found themselves acting like royal babysitters. Nobody could believe it. There was no apology, no explanation — that was classic Fergie chaos,” the source also added.
Some of her friends allegedly told Shuter that the former Duchess frequently escaped situations like these by using the phrase "going into the fire." Although NBC filmed a pilot with her, executives ultimately decided her unpredictable nature was too risky for daytime TV, leading them to move forward with The Ellen DeGeneres Show instead. Insiders highlighted that, while they admired her energy, they lacked confidence in her dependability. Since Ferguson has been "couch surfing" and evading the public eye, it remains to be seen what steps the former Duchess might take to fund her exaggerated lifestyle once again.
