Another day, another scandal at the House of Windsor. Just days after Andrew Mountbatten Windsor lost his Duke of York title, Buckingham Palace announced on October 30 that he would be moving out of Royal Lodge. Amid the ongoing turmoil surrounding their father, royal watchers wondered whether Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie might also lose their titles. However, it is understood that the York sisters will retain their titles, as King Charles reportedly views them as 'innocent victims' caught in their parents' web of scandals.

In the wake of Mountbatten Windsor's many controversies, sources close to the royal family claim that the King reportedly feels bad for Beatrice and Eugenie. Weighing in on the situation, royal expert Phil Dampier wrote for Woman's Day, "The King and William have always been fond of Bea and Eugenie, and their husbands, and regard them as innocent victims." According to him, a close source revealed that Charles and Prince William have been supportive of the sisters, and they are expected to join the royals for Christmas in Sandringham. The expert continued, "I’m told that Bea and Eugenie are understandably 'devastated' by their parents' fall from grace, and are now facing difficult choices."

Beatrice and Eugenie get to keep their honors, given that they are male-line grandchildren of the late Queen Elizabeth. They are, hence, expected to retain their titles in line with King George V's 1917 Letters Patent, which details who is entitled to be a Prince or Princess within the royal family.

While they don't have to face the embarrassment of losing their titles, the York sisters are said to be torn between love for their parents and the poor choices they made. Dampier explained, "They are absolutely distraught and torn between their natural love for their parents and the obvious truth that Andrew and Sarah have been exposed for what they are. The late Queen always said that Sarah was a good mother, and the girls are testament to that."

Their father, meanwhile, will simply be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, after new revelations about his controversial ties to Jeffrey Epstein became too much for the Firm to bear. As Charles begins the formal process of removing his brother's remaining privileges, the Palace's statement read, "His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honors of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor." Their carefully worded statement expressed sympathy for the victims of abuse while clarifying that the former Duke continues to deny the allegations against him.

Shortly after the statement, a new report by PEOPLE confirmed that Mountbatten Windsor will be relocating to a private property in Sandringham estate. It was initially speculated that he would reside in one of the vast royal estates in Scotland or Norfolk. However, the former Prince has reportedly said he wishes to be close to Beatrice and Eugenie, who have homes in London and the southeast of England.
