Trooping the Colour is the most coveted event of the royal calendar, and this year was no different. As senior royals gathered to celebrate the monarch's official birthday, Kensington Palace delighted royal fans by sharing a series of rare behind-the-scenes photographs from Buckingham Palace. In the shared images, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children are seen preparing for the grand occasion, highlighting the important roles they play ahead of the monarchy's most significant event.

Among all the other photographs shared by the Palace, the one that stood out the most was an image of Princess Kate as she departed from Buckingham Palace in an Ascot Landau carriage. She was accompanied by her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The Princess for the day was dressed in an elegant baby-blue coat dress by Catherine Walker and a matching hat by Philip Treacy. The Princess completed her look with the Irish Guards brooch, reflecting her position as Colonel of the regiment.
