King Charles Gives Off Pure Queen Elizabeth Energy At Latest Outing
Following The Queen’s Lead
The royals are having quite a jam-packed schedule, running from one engagement to another, with the most recent being the Royal Windsor Horse Show. While all their engagements are equally important, the horse show is especially close to their hearts, as it was reportedly Queen Elizabeth’s favorite. The late monarch had regularly attended the show since 1943, even before she took over the throne, and continued doing so until her passing in 2022. Now carrying forward her legacy, her children are attending the event with equal enthusiasm, unintentionally mirroring her excitement.
Charles Steals The Show
Soon after coming back from his US and Bermuda tour, the King hosted a series of garden parties, but the happiness on his face while attending the Royal Horse Show was unmissable. For the day, the monarch was dressed in a gray suit paired with a white shirt and black tie. While he looked sharp, he was also seen animated, clearly enjoying the show. From cheering for the contestants to gripping his seat in suspense, the King's reactions took everyone down memory lane, offering a heartwarming reflection of the late Queen Elizabeth.
The Queen’s Racing Gene
As the show proceeded, the King was seen getting excited, nervous, and even hyper, prompting observers to closely compare his reactions to those of his late mother. While Queen Elizabeth famously kept her emotions in check during official duties, the horse show was one event where she frequently shared her excitement. Now, her son seems to be doing the same, and he wasn't alone, as other members of the royal family were also seen tickled pink at the event.
Royal Excitement Runs Deep
Dressed in shades of brown in a three-layer jacket, coat, and scarf, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, seemed equally excited by the show. She, too, was openly expressing her feelings during the event, cheering for the horses. Interestingly, Lady Louise Windsor was also a part of the show, helping as a part-time background crew member.
A Jubilee To Remember
While the Queen loved the horse show and attended it every year, the event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, the late monarch returned in 2021, delighting spectators in a dog-print headscarf while closely watching her horse, Fools Paradise, compete. The beloved show also marked one of her final public appearances during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
