King Charles and Queen Camilla Arrive in Style For a Red Carpet Event in London: Best Photos

It’s a big day for King Charles! The King’s Trust, a foundation he started in 1976, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To mark the milestone, a special celebration was held at the Royal Albert Hall in May, with Queen Camilla joining Charles on the red carpet for the glitzy evening. The star-studded gala was attended by a host of A-listers, including George and Amal Clooney, Lily Collins, Idris Elba, and Benedict Cumberbatch, among others. It was truly a night where the arts met royalty. 

Charles and Camilla were once again coordinating in navy blue. The King looked dapper in a navy blue blazer, dark trousers, a crisp white shirt, a patterned blue tie, and a matching pocket square. On the other hand, Camilla was looking regal in a navy blue lace cocktail dress by Fiona Clare, which she paired with a beautiful Dior magenta cape. 

Camilla paired her scooped neckline with a stunning diamond serpent necklace, complementing the look with amethyst and diamond earrings that once belonged to Queen Victoria’s mother, the Duchess of Kent. Upon entering the Royal Albert Hall, the Queen removed her magenta cape to reveal an elegant lace gown.

The Clooneys shook hands with the monarch, as Amal took the opportunity to tell him how “proud and grateful” she was to be involved with the King’s Trust. George further added, “What can I say? Thank you for inviting me. We very much much appreciate it. Thank you.” The couple also allegedly chatted with Camilla about makeup, adding a lighthearted touch to the prestigious evening.

The 50th year celebrations were organized in partnership with TK Maxx and recognised the achievements of young people across the UK and the world. Legendary British hosts, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, took over the presenting duties. The evening will feature performances from Sir Rod Stewart, Rita Ora, and Jools Holland. Buckingham Palace indeed pulled out all stops to ensure the milestone was a memorable one. 

The King’s Trust is an important resource in the UK as it supports young people between the ages of 11 and 30 with courses on gaining life skills and accessing job opportunities. The organization has helped over 1.3 million young people across the UK and has contributed over $15 billion USD to society through its programmes in the last 50 years.
