Prince William and Princess Kate's most playful side typically comes out when they are with each other. Their competitive side often comes out when the pair takes hilarious jabs at one another. William once addressed a rumor about Kate’s old bedroom wall during their 2010 engagement interview. Tom Bradby asked if it was true that Kate once had a picture of William on her wall, and William happily exaggerated: “There wasn’t just one, there were like 10-20.” Kate quipped, “He wishes!” She revealed, “No, I had the Levi’s guy on my wall, not a picture of William, sorry.” William doubled down, saying it was him in Levi’s, but Kate had already landed the better punchline.

During a 2016 visit to a school for the Heads Together campaign, William opened up about how he still felt connected to his younger self. As per E! Online, while talking about his childhood, he admitted, “Sometimes I still feel like I am 16; to be honest, sometimes I still act like I am 16.” Kate saw an opportunity and didn’t let it pass, chiming in, “I still think you're 16.” William’s confession had basically handed her the perfect setup, and she took it.

In 2014, Kate was not going to let a tuft of alpaca wool go to waste. While visiting the Royal Easter Show in Sydney with William, the couple were watching a shearing demonstration. After they were handed a tuft of wool, Kate suggested William put it on his head. As per The Standard, she pointed to his thinning hair and joked, “You need it more than me.”

Kate walked straight into one of William's roasts during a 2016 Taste of Norfolk gala dinner for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. While chatting with a group of chefs, she casually admitted that William has to endure her cooking most of the time. “William has to put up with my cooking most of the time,” she said, according to ABC. William quickly added, “It’s the reason I’m so skinny.” Oof. That one must have stung.

William and Kate were checking out the new recreation centre at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus in 2018 when William spotted the bright yellow sofas and immediately had one thing on his mind. “Keep the pizza off the sofas!” he joked to the personnel, as per Us Weekly. Kate was quick to expose exactly why he was so concerned, firing back, “You’re a nightmare with that!” It gave fans a tiny glimpse into their home life.
