The Real Reason William Turned Out So Different Than Harry Revealed — And Kate Middleton Might Be The Reason

Princess of Wales has nurtured "an informal" close-knit family that believes in spending time with each other.

Prince Harry and Prince William have taken noticeably different approaches to navigating public life, with Harry more frequently at the center of controversy and vocal about his security concerns, while William tends to maintain a more measured public presence. Both brothers were left grief-stricken in 1997 following the death of their mother, Princess Diana, in a car accident. Harry has openly discussed attending therapy over the years; however, one royal commentator has suggested he may still be processing that grief, attributing part of the difference between the brothers to the family support systems each has.

Columnist Amanda Platell, writing in The Daily Mail about the brothers' differing paths since their mother's death, questioned why William hasn't shown the same signs of unresolved grief as Harry. "Why isn't he a bitter and angry man raging like a child against the injustice of the world?" she asked, before offering her own explanation: "Because he has Kate."

Dr. Max Pemberton, psychiatrist,  cited in the column, echoed a similar view, suggesting William's temperament may be rooted in having a stable, supportive partner — while noting that Harry, by contrast, seems to be a man raging from within. "The one question I think Prince Harry should ask himself is why a man who portrays himself to be so kind is still so full of vengeance," Pemberton wrote, adding that Harry behaves like many of his patients: "obsessed with their trauma to the extent that they are unable to heal or move on with their lives."

Platell goes on to say that the Princess of Wales has nurtured 'an informal' close-knit family that believes in spending time together. On the other hand, the expert explains that Harry is still looking for a stable ground with Meghan Markle, who is estranged from her siblings and father, Thomas Markle. The expert alleges that Markle's broken-home qualities have rubbed off on Harry despite their displaying "happy family" scenes on social media. "William appears to have entered a different dimension, with Kate, despite her cancer ordeal, always by his side."

The Waleses have forged a stronger bond after Middleton successfully entered remission. The royal couple displayed a united front for Trooping the Colors at the royal box during Wimbledon and even indulged in a rare pubic display of affection after William won a charity polo match. Meanwhile, Harry ended up attending charity events in the UK related to the Invictus Games solo, while it was widely touted that the Duchess would be joining him after almost four years.

Meanwhile, the two brothers refused to set up a meeting despite being just 12 miles apart from each other during day one of Harry's engagements. Insiders claim "hell will freeze over" before the Prince of Wales decides to meet the Duke. Another case pointed out by the psychiatrist is that Harry obsesses about hiding his children's identity while his brother's family enjoys many public outings.

"The Prince and Princess of Wales, as the future King and Queen, feel a duty to show off their family to their future subjects. But Harry’s scrupulous avoidance of showing his children’s faces borders on the obsessive," Platell highlighted.

Further, the expert pointed out that Harry has been nursing pain with reasons surrounding his life, like: "Your mother should not have died, and you were only 12." Pemberton concluded that people like the Duke who are obsessed with trauma learn to behave "in exquisite detail, fluent, articulate, but entirely unhealed".
