Royal Experts Reveal Where Kate Stands as William Shuts 'Door' on Harry: 'She Is Aware...'
The expert claimed that Middleton allegedly doesn't understand why Harry chose to make demeaning remarks about her.
Prince William has shown no signs of reconciliation with Prince Harry, despite the latter's public plea to mend ties. As per Us Weekly, while William is furious with his brother's public airing of grievances, a royal expert has suggested there's another reason why the Prince of Wales is cold-shouldering Harry — his 'instinct' to protect Kate Middleton.
Amid the ongoing rift, Middleton is reportedly standing firm with her husband. To Di For Daily host Kinsey Schofield recently told Fox News Digital how William is being backed by Middleton. He said, “Catherine has been nothing but supportive of her husband – and that’s exactly why Prince William is so deeply hurt. His pain doesn’t come from personal insults or headlines. It comes from his instinct to protect the woman he loves… But what cuts the deepest is Harry’s treatment of Catherine.” The expert argued that William will never forget Harry’s betrayal of Middleton, who “always treated him like a little brother.” Chiming in, royal expert Helena Chard claimed that Middleton is upset about the fallout between William and Harry, but she will not be seen getting involved in the drama anytime soon.
Chard explained, “Sadly and upsettingly, Princess Catherine was dragged into the public negative narrative, which was a real smack round the face for the kind sister-in-law who tried hard to be the peacemaker between the brothers.” The expert claimed that Middleton was delighted to see Harry fall in love with Meghan Markle, which is why she allegedly doesn't understand why he chose to make demeaning remarks about her. The Sussexes addressed their beef with Middleton in their infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, but it was Harry’s memoir Spare, which was particularly hard to swallow for the Waleses, as per reports.
After her health scare, Middleton is known to have completely shifted her focus to her family and royal duties. Chard explained, “Her goals have been protecting the Crown, future-proofing the monarchy, [honoring] the late Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy, and protecting her children from Prince Harry's hurtful commentary.” According to royal expert and commentator, Hilary Fordwich, Middleton was once in favor of reconciliation and often advised William to take the first step, but her stance now stands changed. She said, “Catherine, in particular, is deeply wounded by Harry’s media disclosures airing family grievances and betraying any family loyalty while dismissing royal values. Catherine was once the peacemaker between the feuding brothers. She often encouraged William to reconcile.”
In the same vein, Chard echoed, “Princess Catherine is sad that the Prince Harry of old is no longer, has taken on board that all trust is broken, and the door is shut on Harry. They will not meet for the time being unless at a funeral or a possible wedding.” Additionally, per the expert, Middleton also does not want Harry to ‘burden’ William’s future reign.
