Royal experts recently discussed what Prince Harry’s life really looks like in the US. In the UK, Harry was a senior working royal who spearheaded several charities, and having served in the military, had close ties with his fellow comrades and veterans. Now settled in Montecito, California, experts argue that the Duke of Sussex is a ‘stay-at-home dad’ with 'nothing much to do'.

According to the Mirror, royal experts recently sat down to discuss Harry’s engagements in the US in the new Channel 5 documentary Harry: Can He Ever Be Forgiven? Discussing the Duke’s bombshell BBC interview, politician and author Ann Widdecombe asserted that Harry is in a rather difficult position as he neither had a role in the royal family nor now in his new life in the US. She said, “How is he spending his life? What is the aim? I've heard people say that he’s a stay-at-home dad without much to do… possibly? Even Harry must occasionally ask himself, 'Where is all this going?”

Psychotherapist and author Emma Reed Turrell chimed in and agreed that Harry must be struggling with his identity. She said, “I think Harry is up against a universal challenge, which is one of identity. Who am I? Who was I? Who am I becoming? Who am I allowed to be? What will be acceptable?” Turrell continued, “We can all relate to that... when people leave any kind of institution, there is a huge transition that happens for someone as they re-enter the atmosphere and look for purpose again and look for identity.”

Last year, a neighbor of the Sussexes revealed Harry’s morning routine includes walking his dog and riding a bicycle. The neighbor told The Telegraph, “Normally when you see him around here, he’s walking his Labrador on the beach or on his bicycle followed by his security in a Range Rover...They keep to themselves. I haven’t seen Harry around much.” The Duke’s morning routine also reportedly includes a workout session and having a glass of green juice.

Besides raising his two kids with Meghan Markle, Harry is also involved in several projects with Netflix. Although the Sussexes signed the deal with the streaming giant as a couple, the company is allegedly focusing more on the former actress with her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams recently claimed Harry is the ‘spare’ in his marriage to Markle. Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail, “Harry is increasingly finding himself as the spare in a relationship with Meghan, which undoubtedly involves mutual affection, but where their priorities differ widely.” He continued, “Invictus means a lot to him. It was a joy to see him at the WellChild Awards last year. He genuinely enjoyed being with the children, it seemed as though the ‘old Harry’ was temporarily back.” The expert also claimed that Harry finds peace in his charity work, which he has continued after moving to the US.
