Queen Camilla’s Behavior on Trooping the Color Left People Seriously Unimpressed: ‘Never Seen...'

Royal watchers expressed their displeasure at Queen Camilla’s sour demeanor and lack of interest during Trooping the Color.

Queen Camilla appeared less than thrilled, with her subdued and aloof expression during Trooping the Color on June 14. She sat beside King Charles as they rode in a carriage for the annual parade. After footage of her so-called half-hearted demeanor surfaced, royal fans shared their disappointment, accusing Camilla of seeming 'out of touch.' 

As per The List, during the parade, senior members of the royal family ride in horse-drawn carriages. Back in 2023, Charles rode on horseback as the leader of the Trooping the Color parade. However, this year, like 2024, he opted for a carriage with Camilla, given his cancer diagnosis. Camilla, for the mega event, opted for a low-key yet classy ensemble, wearing a white silk-crepe midi dress embroidered with silver detailing by Anna Valentine. She was also allegedly seen engaging in a fiery conversation with Charles about Prince Harry or Prince Andrew during the carriage ride, as claimed by lip readers. While the reason for her displeasure remains unknown, fans accused the Queen Consort of not having a grasp of reality. 

As videos of Camilla's sour behavior at the event made the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), royal fans couldn't help but say the same thing. A royal watcher commented, "She doesn't want to be there. Maybe they're arguing with each other. The face alone says all you need to know, and the wave was terrible." Another echoed, "I’ve never seen a person actually born looking like a cartoon villain more than Camilla." A critic penned, "Seriously, what is wrong with her face? ...Millions struggling around the world, and she can’t even raise a smile." A netizen, however, chose to give her the benefit of the doubt and opined, "Well, Camilla did look a little grumpy yesterday. She may be out of touch at times, but I do not think she is totally heartless."

Royal fans also accused the Queen Consort of secretly going under the knife, resulting in her vague expressions. A critic argued, "Something is off with her face… has she had surgery??" In a similar vein, another echoed, "She’s had Botox above her upper lip!" A fan, meanwhile, defended, "I don't think that's a grumpy face. In fact, I think Camilla looks really nice!" 

As per tradition, Camilla proudly stood beside Charles with the rest of the senior royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the military flypast. According to the Royal Insider, body language expert Darren Stanton noted that Camilla's silent and affectionate exchanges had a deeper meaning. He said, "The glances between Camilla and the King carry hidden messages typical of the bond visible within deep, long-standing relationships." He also said that her choice to wear white for the occasion was no coincidence, as he described it as a subtle signal of neutrality and serenity.
