Priscilla Presley Addresses Claims Sarah Ferguson Is Staying with Her Amid Epstein Fallout
Ferguson has flown under the radar since December, but with doors closing across her social circle, her former friend's representative is the latest to distance themselves.
For Sarah Fergusson, finding a safe harbor has never been more difficult. As scrutiny over her past ties to Jeffrey Epstein continues to intensify, the former Duchess of York has found herself navigating not just a reputational storm, but a very practical one — where, exactly, does she go?
One answer, it now turns out, is definitively off the table. Speculation had been circulating that Ferguson had been sheltering with Priscilla Presley, leaning on their longstanding personal bond during one of the most turbulent periods of her life. But a spokesperson for Presley put the rumors to rest. "It's totally false," they tell PEOPLE.
The rumors emerged after Page Six reported earlier this month, quoting sources that claimed Ferguson had been quietly moving between the homes of close friends — Presley among them.
The friendship between the two women, while perhaps surprising on the surface, has genuine roots. Their bond was forged through Presley's late daughter, Lisa Marie, whom Ferguson affectionately called her 'sissy.' When Lisa Marie died in January 2023 at the age of 54, it was Ferguson who stood up to speak at her memorial service at Graceland, on the words of her former mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth: "Grief is the price we pay for love."
That closeness, however, has not translated into sanctuary — at least not according to Presley's camp. And Ferguson's difficulty in finding a foothold appears to extend well beyond one friendship. Page Six reported that the former Duchess has encountered significant resistance in New York, a city she has long frequented and where she has historically relied on her social network for accommodation.
The reluctance among her orbit, insiders say, "Everyone's telling her that now's not a good time." "A lot of people actually really like her, but being associated with anyone associated with Epstein just isn't wise right now." While Presley is primarily based in Los Angeles, the Daily Mail noted that she has owned properties across the United States over the years, lending the original speculation at least a degree of geographic plausibility. That speculation, however, has now been rejected.
